Glasgow will face off against Workington Comets in our Play-off semi-final on the 12th October at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium with the return leg on the 13th at Derwent Park. On 9/28/2018 at 6:16 PM, WorkyWorky said: Hoorah at long last no more nail biting! Glasgow point blank refused the 6th October at Workington, and could not do 5th or 7th up at Cookies shrine due to prearranged stadium events... that they couldn’t actually remember what they were. Thankfully they took comets fans into consideration you all know we prefer watching the saviour of British speedway on the big screen rather than trackside! Nothing at all to do with wanting a full team out..? Who owns the stadium/can race any night at all? You just couldn’t write it eh. On 9/28/2018 at 8:13 PM, SharpenRake said: We offered numerous dates and times to suit Workington but funnily enough you didn't want to come without Klindt. we also thought it would be nice to have a few fans present . we realise you don't understand what a crowd looks like, although some people in Worky think 3's a crowd. So we can now promote this semi in the manner required, something like we look forward to a nice match between the comets and their friendly likeable fans and the tigers. Regarding the day, we thought about Thursdays or even a Monday morning but that could have been a problem for a few of the Danes as they celebrated on the Wednesday and Sunday nights having received wages, 'Wages' ? look it up in the dictionary. What a load of tripe Honestly the lovable Glasgow Twisters unbelievable. Also Workington were prepared to travel without Klindt so once again your statement of fact is incorrect On 9/28/2018 at 9:07 PM, Gazc said: You seemed to manage it so I will hazard a wild guess and say you could write it eh. Pity you couldn't have got humped at Armadale last week or the week before instead of tonight or you would have had plenty of dates. Oh wait a minute you did have plenty of dates in sunny June and July you just didn't bother to race on any of them , you just couldn't write it eh. They did get humped at Armadale but repaid the compliment the following night in Spades at Derwent Park Funny thing Karma Finally Glasgow couldn't do the 5th of October for some reason then low and behold some Mickey Mouse Scottish Cup turns up and Workington get left with a blank weekend, when was this monumental (manufactured) competition slotted into the fixture programme. This competition racks right up their in importance along with the Ian Thomas Shield, the Tyne Tees Trophy or the Tyne Tweed Trophy, its and absolute disgrace and if the BSPA don't step in and tell the Glasgow promotion to get this play off started it will be a travesty. Go to Workington on the 5th after all a Friday is Workington's second race night Regards THJ 2
TotallyHonestJohn 3,078 Posted October 2, 2018 Not wanting to be a cynic or anything!!! But whats the chances of a "Rain Off" up at Ashfield on the Friday (12th), or a malfunction with the watering equipment that unfortunately soaks the track and the meeting is called off. Maybe an underground pipe burst they have not been unheard of in the past have they? There may be trouble ahead eh! how poignant? There may be trouble ahead But while there's music and moonlight and love and romance Let's face the music and dance Before the fiddlers have fled Before they ask us to pay the bill and while we still have the chance Let's face the music and dance Soon we'll be without the moon, humming a different tune and then There may be teardrops to shed So while there's moonlight and music and love and romance Let's face the music and dance Fiddlers eh!!! Double connotations there eh! Be interesting Regards THJ 1 1

HAMMER180 96 Posted October 3, 2018 Not looking good for Saturdays PO 1st leg rain all night forecast at the moment better look at a mid week fixture or we are going to run out of time just bet the BSPA would just love that as there must be a reason why they refused to let us race on 4 Fridays during the summer
