morning , morning weather update for the speedway starved diamonds supporters . (another chance to see robbo,   poss last chance ever for some )

a wee bit wet from last nights rain , but the big yellow bulb in the sky is making a breakthrough .quite a stiff breeze it feels like a wrap up well night for speedy .

not too sure of the weather later on , but from what i gather its no more rain . A.T.M.

but bring yer brollies and your shower caps just in case  !

Update at 12.25pm......extremely unpredictable and heavy rain showers now hitting Workington.  We had a LOT of rain from early evening last night, until 9am this morning. But now its heavy showers.

A quick check on Met Office website right now, indicates no more rain from 2pm onwards for rest of day, with sunny spells.  I suppose it all depends on how much water damage there has been to the track overnight and since yesterday, as to whether this meeting goes ahead tonight ?

Surely Newcastle will face some sort of action from BSPA. I know its end of season.... but that really is just so unprofessional. Paying spectators short changed big style!! Sorry for Workington fans and indeed any Diamonds fans who had not given up hope of pulling off a surprise victory. Getting more angry as I write this so will shut up now!!

PS Gutted for the remaining 4 Diamonds also who will no doubt try their very hardest to support the weakened 6 man team

Updates says "It has not been announced where Ludvig Lindgren is . But rumours trackside is Matthew Wethers was unable to get time off work for the match."

Please note this is according to Updates site.

Do you think the fact that there are no home meetings left and money may be a factor?

Shambles the only word to describe the Newcastle team at Workington tonight, And people wonder why crowds are down and the sport can’t attract decent league sponsorship, Shame for the home promotion too who are clearly struggling to balance the books and will no doubt score 60+ tonight making it a very expensive night .

I bet if we had to win tonight  to win the league or it had of been the cup final where we had a 10 point lead he would of been there or am I being a cynic

Feel sorry for the fans... they will get an easy win at the expense of seeing a competitive meeting with riders not missing
