Any idea with the situation with Barker listed to also ride in the Rye House leg according to Panthers official website, is this a mistake as it seems to go against the 8 day guest rule for away sides . S/Star and local newspaper suggest Chris Harris will guest .

S/Star and local newspaper suggest Chris Harris will guest . Perhaps the fact that the last meeting at Rye was on Saturday 15th and the next is Sunday 23rd, generally this rule prevented guests appearing at the same track every week on the same day. It now seems to confirm that the actual race day (Saturday) is counted as day 1 which makes Sunday week as day 9, if Lakeside had planned to stage this next Saturday then Barker clearly would have been ineligible. liam 376 Posted September 22, 2018 Ellis has been declared fit but Newman and Zach have been ruled out. RR for Newman and the club are trying to find a guest for Zach. Lakeside Rye House Hammers Select, no thanks.

Then the rule should be clarified to say not within a 7 day period , this would make more sense and stop any confusion . As to me 8 day's means 8 days . As to me 8 day's means 8 days . That’s exactly why it’s eight days not seven. As BCD said the rule is primarily there to prevent a team using the same guest week in week out (although few Clubs now have the luxury of racing consistently every week!). If Saturday is day 1, the next Saturday is day 8 not day 7

If Saturday is day 1, the next Saturday is day 8 not day 7 Thanks for that. So if a Sunday is day 1, then the next Sunday will be day 8, the next will be day 15, the next will be day 22 and the next will be day 29? Am I correct in my thinking that there are 4 Sunday's in a 28 day period?

That confirms a team had a 29 day facility instead of a 28 day facility (guest scored 12 points and probably cost a team 3 points in the league).
