I really don't understand why they stop this from happening in the ko cup but not the playoffs?? Both are two legged, what's the difference??

One despairs the people who run the sport and allow this sort of thing are a laughing stock

No wonder the sport is going downhill if this is allowed. The question of integrity  in sport becomes an issue surely.

Perhaps in the next few hours common sense will prevail and the matter resolved if not to those who have sanctioned this ‘get your heads out of your buttocks and leave before the AGM because if this is the sort of rational thinking you display then lord help us”

is it really April 1st

The thing is, it was the BSPA Chairman, Buster Chapman, who has asked Adam Ellis to ride at Poole, complete in the knowledge that he is turning out for Poole just 48 hours later, live on tv in from]nt of tens of thousands at home on tv he knew this. But clearly he just doesn’t care. No thought for the credibility of the sport. No thought to what the casual fan would think. No thought for his own fans or the fans of the other team in the final, who see this showcase event now as a complete shambles.

Buster Chapman had other options. He could even had gone with r/r. It would have shown integrity.

I am not saying this to try and get an advantage over our rivals, but for the good of a sport we all love and enjoy. Win or lose, the integrity of the sport is far more important than winning or losing the final. I would much rather lose in a great battle which came across fair and square with everyone talking about it for the right reasons, then watch this sorry mess unfold right before our eyes.

Something needs to be seriously done here. For the good of the sport. Immediately.

He will probably be turning out for Lynn.

Complete farce! Lynn management knew Ellis was riding for Poole, had other options, but chose to wreck the showcase event. Disgraceful!

It is bonkers. Surely the  teams and riders can sort it out that both teams use 1 rider each for both legs.

Maybe Poole didn't want Lynn to use either !. Who knows....in the interests of the sport 1 for each team would be the best thing to happen.

On the other hand Ford uses the rules to the max and he would of done the same I guess..

Who is the deputy chairman?? Can he not stop this, can the others in the committee have a vote? Shame on you Buster, shame on you! First you screw over Chris Holder and Batch and now you screw over a good final.

The deputy chairman is the most inept of the lot, you can’t change the rules now they should have been put in place at the beginning of the season.

it manes a complete joke of the final but to blame kings Lynn is utterly ridiculous.

Seems they inserted reg 18.2.4 into the KOCup without thinking it wortwhile adding similar into the league Play Off regs

Half arsed again

Common sense says it should be applied despite its omission

No he wouldn’t. He would never pull such a stunt and would have chosen someone else or gone with r/r. Matt is peed with the sport because of the way it has been run. This, tonight, has proven why he is peed.

Ellis for Poole and Morris for Lynn(both legs), easily sorted.. Maybe Lynn asked Poole and Ford said "no" and wanted to use Ellis and Morris. Who knows?

Why? They have caused this no one else. Our guests were picked before Niels even rode today!

If it is found that any individual has sanctioned this and I say if then all of us should show solidarity and make sure that person knows his position is untenable.

we might not govern the sport but we are paying customers and sponsors and we want to make sure our sport is not a laughing stock.

forget our differences over the teams we support and unite behind a campaign of good governance.
