Sticking to the rules is never worse.

The ruling should have been enforced that the same guest is used for both meetings. If Kings Lynn have used Morris in the first, he can't guest for Poole in the 2nd. Very simple. No rules broken.

Kings Lynn didn’t want Morris. They wanted Ellis for both legs. Poole backed down for the good of the sport.

There. I said it wouldn’t take long for the usual suspects to start moaning about Poole being over the limit for Wednesday.

If we win it will all because we were over the points limit yadda yadda yadda.

Kings Lynn are still firm favourites with the bookies.

Keep telling yourself that if it helps.

Who the heck is bothered by the rules being broken...and yet again by the same team? That would be the multitudes who have turned their back on the sport because of flagrant disregard for rules, gentlemans agreements and in the 'best interests of speedway' rulings.

This sport is a total joke now, and they wonder why fans can't be bothered turning up.There are riders avialable but they are probably on a much lower average so break the rules to get who you want.It is only the middle of October but rider don't have to guest if they don't want too. They must be earning enough during the season. The fans are the mugs in this sport ( what is left of them).

Kings Lynns management are very happy with the deal. They now have a rider who they were worried about for the second leg in their team.

The rules should have been in place so that Ellis and Morris were protected for Poole. Lynn could have gone with Howarth or r/r.

Backed down??

How have Poole backed down in any way shape or form??

Poole have broken rules by having Morris as a guest at Kings Lynn

I dont care about gentlemans agreements , the rules were there and they have been changed .........what team benefits???? Poole again

Tell a neutral that Nick Morris has an average to high to ride Wednesday but the sport has allowed it to happen................farce

If Morris scores more than Ellis at Lynn that leads Poole to the title then that will be an awful way for the league to be won

Didn’t see that coming! Common sense certainly prevails but never thought all three parties could come to an agreement like that.

Yes Morris takes Poole over the limit but it’s better than the alternative and the difference is quite small. If they win because he scores two hatfuls it will rankle a bit but in the grand scheme of British speedway it’s the right thing to do as guests are obviously hard to find this time of year.

What's the point of rule then,if this scenario happened in future and parties disagreed ,where next, invent another rule for " the best interest of the sport.Total joke sport.

Interesting that you and bwitcher have a big problem with it and most KL fans aren't that bothered. Can't see there being much in it between Morris and Ellis so luckily Poole and KL riders should decide it.

Poole were gifted the semi final because of Somersets injurys and 5 man team..............and now you want a walkover in the final.

Nick Morris riding at Lynn on Wednesday makes the sport a farce..................the team is illegal..............not that that bothers Poole as they have the Swindon number two up against Swindons number four...................with a gp rider missing from his home track......................

Poole have had some really hollow title wins....................this will be the worst

Oh well thats the final done and dusted

Nick Morris goes better at Poole than Ellis in the main as 14 points from number one shows on a visit there earlier in the season and he certainly goes better than Ellis at Lynn, Poole have benefitted from being able to use Morris at Kings Lynn thats pretty obvious.

Kurtz 6.75.............replaced by Morris 6.74

Iversen 7.36...........replaced by Ellis 6.47

That shows the advantage Poole have but they can only beat whats in front of them

Hope Kings Lynn can overcome the loss and at least make a spectacle of the final

Trouble is Morris has a habit of falling off on his own and is generally more unreliable, personally I would have been happier if we had Ellis for both legs, for that reason and the fact that fans will say it's another fiddle and it shouldn't be allowed average wise. It wouldn't surprise me if Ellis outscored Morris.

Your a Poole fan..................you dont mind rule breaking......................all in the best interest of the sport of course......or Poole

This sort of thing can open up a can of worms.

Poole being forced to use Nick Morris at the last moment leaves them much weaker as it has unsettled the club and well, the whole of the town really.

Kings Lynn's name already on the trophy/plaque/whatever.....

Bless you whats your problem?

Nick Morris has an average to high to ride at Lynn...........thats the rules but now we dont have rules anymore maybe Poole can see if Doyle can replace Kurtz........all in the best interests of the sport of course.

Its plain and simple

Kings Lynn broke no rules by Ellis riding

Poole needed to find a guest for the second leg.

But because it looks a bit silly (and i agree) that Ellis rides for both teams, we now make the sport look just as silly by saying ' do you know what rather than have a rider riding for two teams in final, we will just use an illegal one instead'.........................both ways are farcical and the final basically is a joke

The bookies have certainly taken all this into account. Kings Lynn are huge favourites!
