Recommended Posts

If anyone has ‘backed down’ surely its Lynn for allowing Poole to be over the limit?

2nd leg could get rained off yet, put back to next Monday, Iversen might be fit again depending how bad his head injury is and then we can go back to using Ellis. Ta-da!!! We are not cheating til it actually happens!

I think you are clutching at straws there, forecast is good for Wednesday, in fact it is likely to be warmer even in East Anglia.

Sticking to the rules is never worse.

In this case, it was.

Common sense has prevailed.

And that can be seen by everyone with common sense.

Depends who's idea it was?

I imagine the reason it has been done this way round is because we had already booked Morris for tonight and KL had booked Ellis for tonight.

Not unless it has changed in the last 30 mins.

Edit. It has changed. Lynn are now 4/5 and Poole 7/5.

Lynn still favourites though and rightly so.

Yep Pooles odds have shortened and Lynn have drifted

Poole to win tonight by 10-12 and then Lynn to win by 9 in the return with the 'illegal' Nick Morris being used in the second leg................great advert for the sport

Just think, if Adam had been considered good enough to be offered both meetings for Poole this would never have occurred ?

glad Kings Lynn have Adam for both meetings, was superb guesting for KL a few weeks ago, and has looked on fire at the Peterborough/Lakeside meetings

Absolute Rubbish.

Rules are there to be adhered to. When they are not, the sport is corrupt.

Its obviously common sense to some people to change rules once they in place...............silly that Eliis was booked for two teams...........and even sillier now that Poole can go into the second meeting with an illegal rider.

Be nice next season if some teams want a guest who is above the limit and then see if they can get that changed and over ruled.

As ive said explain to the neutral how Poole win the league with a rider who is not allowed to race.

I hope Lynn , the best team of these two over the season, can still manage somehow to give the sport back some credibility and prove to the neutral that the sport is bigger than cheating

Whilst it would have made more sense if the guests were the other way round, surely Speedway has become too obsessed with averages in recent years, and if both teams agree on this then I don't see too much of a problem with it.

What both teams agree too is completely and utterly irrelevant. This is meant to be a professional sport, not a Sunday morning game of football.. actually scrap that, illegal players wouldn't be allowed in any form of competitive game either even if 'both teams agreed'.

And a few hours ago you said the final was ruined.....................Poole can use an illegal rider and all is rosy again..........fickle

Lets hope Kings Lynn can rise above the Poole shenanigans
