Doesn't even seem to be anything to do with Birmingham, the 'Birmingham' team isn't even Birmingham riders by looks of it.
Heathen1984 139 Posted October 17, 2018 Exactly, brum select to better there team. Ref is awful here aswell, riders touches tapes and left in the race.
BWitcher 12,453 Posted October 17, 2018 Was there a good turnout of Wolves fans at the meet eager to taste some more laps?

James Shanes and Leon Flint were certainly Brummies riders. As for the other teams: you don't think that they would want the knuckle draggers to win, do you? Or the pooches. teaboy279 1,038 Posted October 18, 2018 Take the teams out of the mix a second, surely this was just an extra meeting organised to give the fans some last action before the long cold winter.

Yeah so make up 3 teams. Why name them as actual clubs when some of the riders have nothing to do with the actual clubs?!

I take your point, but CVS gave them permission. They could of made up 3 random team names but I don't see the difference tbh. The result was always meaningless outside in the most part, but already I am getting bored, So i d of appreciated any meeting at Kent this week.
P T Preece 262 Posted October 18, 2018 Not much of a meeting, late start, rubbish ref and not a lot of action and considering a lot of the people last saw a 3tt back in the 80s, a lot of people were having trouble filling in the programme. Some sort of information sheet would have helped and why put the reserve races in the meeting if they didnt count towards the meeting. Don't want another one of theses next season. LaurenceRogers 56 Posted October 18, 2018 Parade was held up due to queues at the gate with a late flurry of fans arriving late . The reserve races were there to give the lads a ride and not sit there not getting any track action and with Joe Lawlor's problems and withdrawal both got rides in the meeting . Can't see how their points could count in the meeting as they were not in any particular side and having them there proved worthwhile in the end The idea of an information sheet is a good idea but was overlooked . Seemingly didn't float your boat P T Preece but we had a lot of positive comments that they liked it ..and there were some good races...James Shanes pass in that one being a classic one
Heathen1984 139 Posted October 18, 2018 1 good race with Shanes apart from that was an awful meeting with a rubbish ref.
LaurenceRogers 56 Posted October 18, 2018 Many people thought different ... Rowe had a few impressive rides and there was several close battles and races to the line . I suppose we all see things differently and had Joe not had so much bad luck the scores in the end would have been even closer .As it was it almost went down to the wire between the Brummies and the Wolves Select with the sides fairly evenly balanced
