Orlav. In hindsight you may well be right. However we have deal in what did happen not what maybe should have happened.

Bookies don’t let you bet on a horse after the race

Under this year’s regulations a new rider would be graded based on his experience elsewhere, with a minimum average of 4.

Possibly, as I said a starting average would be based on previous experience elsewhere, that could be deemed to warrant a starting average over 4.

As should any foreigner wanting to ride over here. If they are good enough to ride in another country the minimum should never be less than 4.

Just been looking at some stats. The Stars need some changes next season if they want to do better. They finished just under Swindon, but finished 6th in the league.

Official team GSA's to date

                                                Swindon 45.26

                                                 Lynn  45.16

                                                 Ippo  42.82

                                                 Poole  42.65

                                                Wolves  41.66

                                                BV  41.33

                                               Peterborough   39.45

We need a big re shuffle next season.  The only team not to win on the road this season, I think ?

These are this seasons riders away averages ( just this season, not GSA's, rolling aves and not for team building). But it will confirm we can't have as many home "track specialists" next season.

This season our  finishing 1-7 of Lambo, Cookie, Erik, TJ. MPT ,Lewis and Nik's combined away averages add up to  just 33.76.

Unlike so many I here, I don't put riders CMA as the be all of team building.   Yes, I appreciate its the mechanics used for team equality,  but  application , attitude and passion have a far greater importance to the value of riders impact  for the team.   Your averages above illustrate precisely that ,  although we finished way down the league , our riders CMA is second only to Swindon.

Its obvious, for whatever reason,  we don't perform as a successful  team.    Changes need to be made..

As I see it the reason is simple, our riders haven't been good enough away from the AFA. While it's great to have "Application, attitude and passion", does it have "far greater importance to the value of a riders impact for the team"?  It will only get you so far imho. You could put a Championship side into the Prem, and they won't win anything with all the application, attitude and passion in the world..:t:

To be fair I think their is good argument for a minimum of 5 to be applied for all new foreign riders.
