Drew Kemp is ruled out by the magnitude of his average, not the fact it is assessed.

Are you able to confirm the regulation please Neil

Is my understanding re Andersen correct and/or has it altered for 2019

Nothing corrupt about it. Kasper comes in on a 4.00 assessed average which he had with King's Lynn in 2018. Due to not completing enough meetings due to injury, he will maintain his 4.00 assessed average.

There is however a problem with him doubling up. The BSPA announced from the AGM that doubling up isn't possible in the Premiership unless the rider has an established average of more than 4.50 in the Championship.

Kasper should only be allowed in 1 league with either King's Lynn or Sheffield. It should go with who signed him first.

Did they not say that a rider cannot ride in the Premiership unless he has an Established average over 3.

They must have changed the rule to allow a rider to do both leagues if his assessed average allows.

How many matches did Andersen ride for Sheffield last year as the GSA doesn’t list this detail, perhaps the MC have assessed his GSA on what he actually rode.

There are a lot of question marks over Kasper Andersen.

The rule is clear that an established average has to have been achieved in the Premiership/Championship to be able to double up.

Then, as the conversion rate is 1.5 Andersen is 4 in the Premiership, it must mean he's a 6 for Sheffield and not the 5.20 of last season. That'll also take Sheffield almost half a point over the Championship limit.

As kasper lined up for Sheffield last year on a 5.2 that’s what he will start on at Sheffield. Presuming he signed for Sheffield first rather than kings Lynn then I guess it’s a 6 otherwise

Clear as mud !!!

Can you please point me in the direction of the 2019 rules!!?

That`s last years rule in your 2nd line - we do not have the 2019 rules !!

If Kasper is 5.2 for Sheffield does that mean he is 3.46 for King's Lynn (5.2 divided by 1.5) ?

Don't be daft - he rode for Sheffield last season on a 5.20, so will retain that average.

Likewise, he will retain his 4.00 with King's Lynn.

I think it's probably unique for a new rider to compete for two different teams, and not do enough meetings with either to gain a new average.

Nearly unique then :D

The point is, that if a rider competes in a league, and doesn't do enough meetings to gain an average in that league, then he retains that average, even if the conversion factor changes.

But that's a nonsense. You can't just start a new season with new rules with a out dated previous seasons assessed average. That's just bonkers.

The averages assessed for both Premiership and Championship must be the same. Multiply or divide the conversion.

2019 is a new season and rider's on assessed averages then revert to the current season.

Kasper should be 4.00 Premiership and 6.00 Championship.

Taking Sheffield's average over the limit by 0.42.
