What a very sad loser. If Kings Lynn had come back and won it last night I doubt you would have found a single Poole fan who wouldn’t have congratulated the stars.

You posts shows you up to be a very poor loser.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank the STARS  riders for a sterling effort this year, you done us proud.    You did all that was possible, to achieve a lifetime dream, but unfortunately the sport let you down.    Our fate was sealed the moment that Ackroyd became Father Christmas. Nobody dishes out those kind of presents unless it was pre-calculated.    Also, I feel, the team had been let down by NKI  at a time when we didn't him most.  and  I will never understand why we opted used guests in preference of R/R. Guests are always a gamble, and can be  subject to conspiracy, Adam Ellis certainly fall into that category.

Having waited a lifetime for the opportunity,  the task then became impossible when we were forced to compete with only half a Team.    Never giving up,  the team battled to the end but eventually losing out  by those points dished out  by Father Christmas.

I cant bring myself to congratulate to the Poole Pirates,   they represent everything that I dislike about the sport.    The fact they picked up the trophy last night merely illustrates everything that is wrong in this sport.

I sat in the stands last night, watching people  instead of the lost cause.    It was warming to see fans of all ages getting excited and shouting their support as they faced the impossible task.  Unlike me they thought we stood a chance.    With a full team we undoubted would have won this final,  so it was heart wrenching seeing their disappointment when again our so called  guests  let us down.

I left before the end,   I had seen enough to destroy any love I may have had left...

I fully understand where you are coming from with regards NKI. He stood there in front of the camera last night and said he was perfectly fine. He felt rough on Monday but perfectly fine today and will be available for the KO Cup.

So the question has to be, did the management choose purposely to sideline Niels to stop Poole having "the inform track specialist" in Ellis? Could easily explain why Ellis was such a shocker over the 2 meetings for us.

If anyone watched Niels interview, something really didn't add up for me and I totally lost interest in the meeting from that point.

I genuinely felt and still do feel like King's Lynn got what they deserved. I love that club to death but these last 2 seasons there's something about the management team that really really stinks for me.

I cannot bare the thought of any of my money going into their pockets.

As a Stars fan, the only support they'll get is away from home. Yes I am bitter but because I do really care.

I do not trust this management team 1 bit.

Everyone is always in uproar when Ford plays his games, it certainly smells like these games are also being played by King's Lynn also.

Well first of all, what a fabulous victory! Wooohooooo!

Arrived into the stadium early last night to watch Buster dump tons of shale on the track. He forgot the potatoes though!

Very big crowd last night. But throughout the night the Pirates kept them relatively quiet. Most of the noise coming from the couple of hundred Poole fans who made the long trip up from Dorset.

Really though, Why didn’t the ref exclude Jorgensen in heat 3? Both wheels clearly over the white line. Then later he stuck Morris off 15 metres. Did he actually think Woryna laid it down on purpose to get a rerun? Ref failed Poole twice to give Kings Lynn advantage. Shocking. If those calls had been the other way around this forum would have gone into meltdown.

Middlo, who has clearly been the best manager in the league for a long, long time, again showed why with a cool head and motivating his tea. Well done Niel.

Commiserations to Kings Lynn. We know what it’s like to finish top and lose out. But those first 5 heats at Wimborne Road sealed your fate. A team can’t turn up at their most important meeting of the season and not be prepared or in the correct mind frame. They were simply blown away, just like Belle Vue were when Poole went there in 2015. The final starts in heat one first leg.

As I predicted before the meeting started the track was set up grippy meaning very little in the way of passing. Not a meeting for the neutral or Poole hater to enjoy. Winning the playoff final  is far more important than the racing spectacle. There’s just too much at stake.

Agree with most of that Steve but it was Klindt off 15 metres not Morris and although I wasn't there I'm not sure how Middlo motivates his tea??!:D

Well done to all the team. Commiserations to kings Lynn and well done to Dale Allitt for his magnanimous comments at the end.

Also despite Matt Ford's announcement its also good news that he won't leave the club or the fans in the lurch and may even stay another year (but that may depend as much on AGM decisions as it will on what buyers show interest).

Yes I correct that in my post but wasn’t quick enough!

just watching it now and when Woryna fell there was no way he did it on purpose or could have got up from that. The ref was completely wrong. The rules is there for a team on a 5-1 and one of the riders at the back lays it down to get a rerun. That wasn’t the situation last night. No wonder Nicolai was aggrieved. Ref massively favouring Kings Lynn in every decision.

Just arrived in Kings Lynn after a 4.40 minute journey. Traffic bad around Ely. Currently sitting in Pizza hut enjoying a pre meeting meal before heading over to the stadium in a bit.

Thanks for the info... This post deserves its own thread!

What are you buying exactly ???

A tractor with a grader,  a set of starting tapes, coloured lights,  flags, an air fence and safety fence  anda little  "track material"  and some pot holes ? The rider "assets"  have little value as they are all guns for hire and ride where they please. I suppose Mr Ford will take the trophy cabinet with all his pots !

Don't forget the hose pipe!

Buster said in his program notes tonight that “the product is fine, yes we need to sort some issues out at the AGM but the product is fine”

I know head injuries are a funny thing, but I was thinking exactly the same, after all that had gone on previously, it smelled a bit fishy

I agree Woryna hit the fence pretty hard, how he can be expected to jump straight up and run off the track I don't know.

Don't know about Kings Lynn fans but I wouldn't be too happy with Niels Iversen saying he was fine and be ok for the cup but disappointed he couldn't ride. Why was he disappointed when he was fine? Who stopped him from riding?

Congrats to Poole, had quite a few lucky moments during the play-offs but to be honest there were a couple of things that went against them as well.

Poole were the best team in the second half of the season. They were the better team in the final. Kings Lynn were unlucky with no Iversen but blame him for riding in a testimonial the night before a league final. Silly.

Sorry but no you are not!

Sorry you are incorrect  I have little interest in speedway since losing Coventry (apart from the GP's) Poole were our rivals and  I had a healthy bias towards my home team then. If I were to follow a team at all it would be Leicester as it's closest to me. Methinks that you still wear rose tinted glasses along with your mate Steve. I watched both legs on TV and the decisions  by the ref. against King's Lynn were dreadful (perhaps the ref. is a little richer now) As for your track -- don't even get me started -- slick and boring. However if it rocks your boat enjoy!!!
