Kings Lynn v Poole Playoff Final 2nd leg 10/10/18

A deep loose surface of shale may suit the Kings Lynn riders, the only trouble with that is that Chris Harris will like that as well.

Thing is Middlo will be used to this, Coventry used to do this to us all the time!! Hopefully it will catch the KL riders out. Poole riders are expecting it.

All in all, I hope its a close meeting with some good racing. Hopefully its not a complete anti climax.

I just hope that is not yet another gate and go meeting. There are probably going to be more locals attending than usual and a big TV audience for a league meeting. This is one of the best opportunities we have to showcase the sport and attract new fans. The racing in the first leg will have done nothing to attract them so don't let this meeting confirm to them that speedway is a boring, follow the leader, sport. I'm not optimistic.

15 FTG's and a 55-35 win for the Stars and everyone will be happy : )

Middlo might be but looking at the Poole track on the tv on monday much of the surface was like the M3, so will the Poole riders like a bit of shale or not..

Leaving for the very long trek up to Kings Lynn at lunchtime.

Couldn't Fraud have got the 2nd leg ridden at Swindon or Eastbourne for you?

Poole’s got the best shale rider in the UK and loves it nice and deep. Let RL go crazy and pick up his heat wins. The rest of the poole team just need to steer clear of last places and that’s it, job done.

Probably, but it wouldn’t be as sweet as looking at KL in the rear view mirrors of the van with the trophy on your lap.

I understand that and realise it could and probably will be prepared as it was for the semi final and other TV meetings we have seen from KL.

I want the Stars to win but a win with some brilliant racing would be so much better and might encourage more to attend next year. It's the win at all cost attitude that has played a significant part in the current perilous state of the sport. If tracks were prepared to provide the best racing teams would quickly learn the best racing lines and still have a home advantage but crowds would probably increase because of the better entertainment..

I stated that Chris will like it if it is deep, but the rest may not.

Yep, I think we need one of Busters deep grippy specials !

Klindt hates grippy tracks, Woryna and Jakobsen won't know what's hit them but I don't think King's Lynn will still have enough.

Harris will love rolling in the deep and Grajczonek and Worrall will also not have a problem with it.

R.Lambert, Jorgensen and Riss will be fine and S.Lambert can get 6-7 points on a deep circuit but it will hinder both Ellis and Proctor. Both slick specialists.

So overall, tonight will finish up 48-42 to the Stars. Poole win the Premiership title.

I am 100% with you... except this is a final and the only thing that matters in winning.

We've had the best/one of the best tracks in the land for years and years and we've never won the big one. It's cost us actually, as many opposition riders love racing here and score well. As a BV fan I'm sure you can appreciate this now. The NSS will not help BV be successful on the track as it's so good and all opponents love it!

Teams like Poole have their trick tracks which is worth many points thru the season. They'll kick off about that but I really don't care.

Usually a far better and less congested route rather than the M25,  I used to cut across from A34 to Bedford and the A1.   M11 and M25 back after the meeting at 10pm might be ok, also less speed cameras.

I hope you not advocating I go over the speed limit, perish the thought!!

Route planner shows a34 way to be about 15 mins longer. Might take the gamble and go that way.

There can be hold ups on any road but  in my opinion less of a gamble.
