2nd leg play off final

Recommended Posts

Congrats again to Worky, coincedentally Hull (another ex-Ian Thomas club) also won the treble in 2004, good for the Comets riders fans & management.  Not sure best place to comment so posted in both threads...

Won the league in 2010, but not the playoffs. Probably did in both in 82 and 76.

Wrong way round, Edinburgh won the 2010 league  with 74 pts to  2nd place Newcastle's 58.

Newcastle beat Sheffield in the 2010 Play - Off Final 101 - 89, and  then lost the PROMOTION/ RELEGATION RACE-OFF to Ipswich 76 - 110

So is this the first time a second tier team in the modern era have won all competitions that require 7 riders (or 6 & R/R)?

The magnificent Edinburgh team of 2014 went one better, as in addition to winning the League Play-Off, KO Cup, & League Cup, they also topped the League table with 74 pts, followed by Somerset on 67.:approve:

A real shame that fans were robbed of a fitting final between the two top teams in the Championship.

Obviously you have not checked the rules for the Championship in 2018 & previous years. THERE ARE PLAY OFFS & everyone knows the rules before the start so no one was robbed.

Also, why would it be a fitting final with a Peterborough side having 3 of their own riders & 4 guests!
