It’s amazing how weak our league is these days yet a class rider like Iversen really struggled. Obviously was struggling with his shoulder injury but it goes to show nothing is certain in this league. Yes, Bjerre should be one of the top 5 riders with ease this season. Time will tell. I have always liked Bjerre since his Newcastle days and when he is on he is very quick. At home i can see him averaging 8.70-9.00?? away i am not so sure.Is he as reliable ??but if his confidence is carried on through his home form we all know just how good he can be. I came over and watched him a few times when he was at BV before, he's an ok rider, inconsistent and now a bit past his best IMO, certainly NOT a No1. What went wrong at BV with Craig Cook then, very strange as IMO he's a much better rider by far...?
Aces51 2,777 Posted January 30, 2019 (edited) What went wrong is that Belle Vue had to lose almost 3 points from last years team. That is why we have Bjerre and Wells in place ofCook and Tungate. Edited January 30, 2019 by Aces51

Sadly BV wont be the same without him. .

Wells is usually good for 6 home and 6 away, good solid middle order rider. Bjerre, I agree he'll be fine. A lot will depend on how Bewley comes back from his injury. If he can get back up to full fitness and confidence quickly then Belle Vue will be in the mix. Lidsey at reserve is one I'm looking forward to seeing progress. He could be the trump card.

As his average is 5.77 he wouldn't be doing well at all if it dropped by almost a point. I'm not a great fan of Wells but I think he will maintain his average. Overall, I am more than happy with the team as a whole and can see increased averages from Fricke, Bjerre, Lidsey and Worrall and also from Bewley if he suffers no long term affects from his injuries. His recovery programme seems to be going well and I think he will be ok.
