Belle Vue 2019

He did 1 match in extra liga which may make him higher. Don't see why it should myself personally

So far as I can see Lidsey had one race for Leszno in April and came last. He was subsequently named twice as their number 8 but didn't get a ride on either occasion.

Surely, the higher average assessment was intended to apply to riders who are Polish first division standard, not someone who races regularly in the third division but had one pointless ride in the top division.

It wasn't to do with not meeting cooks demands, we simply cannot afford riders like cook. Savings have to be made and when the team is announced that will become a lot clearer. Cook and tungate are just victims of Belle Vue need to make savings after being forced to run on the graveyard Monday night.

Maybe Belle Vue should have made up some new rule which stopped us signing cook, there are some gullible speedway fans who believe that sort of crap.

As far as the statements are concerned, if anyone is that bothered, Edinburgh and someone at the bspa will be able to verify Belle Vue's statement. I'm not sure who is going to verify any of cooks statements though.

Aces still racing the graveyard shift, Monday and Thursday aren't going to make any difference to the crowd levels.

Nope, he (Jaimon) rode in the big league.

You can't go back on that race.  Like virginity, it can't be reversed.

Rules don't say one start or ten seasons.

Suck it up, Aces.

SR 16.2.4 doesn’t differentiate between leagues. It just refers to a professional league.

But it then doesn’t specify an average, only refers to a grading list. And that will be a BIG secret somewhere.

I assume Becker at Wolves will be affected the same way

We don't yet have the 2019 regulations but this year's regulations said;

16.2.3 Assessed rider gradings are calculated as follows

16.2.4  Riders new to SGB Premiership & Championship League racing are categorised as follows:

Cat 1 & 2 Any rider riding in a professional league in the previous or current season will   be assessed on a “Grading List. Based upon results obtained in all other    Professional Speedway Leagues and given an Assessed MA accordingly.

Cat 3: Riders who are eligible to ride in the National Development League.

16.2.5 The Assessed MA's for new Riders to the SGB Premiership & Championship League racing is:

Cat 1 as per the grading List

Cat 2  as per grading list

Cat 3  2.00 16.2.6

No rider with a current or previously assessed MA, other than a category 3 rider, can drop below 4.00 at any time during the season.

That says based on results obtained. I would say one race where he was last couldn't reasonably be argued as sufficient to assess him at 5.

How did his 3rd division Polish results compare with any other riders in that league currently also riding in Britain?

Surely that is the obvious basis for his assessment with a minimum of 4

Always thought Belle Vue were one of the richer clubs.

You're joking! They owe the ratepayers of Manchester a huge amount of money.

How do you make that out?

If MCC were owed money they’d come looking for it. The previous promotion maybe reneged on paying rent, though that may well have been resolved in the claim and counterclaim for the problems with the track, but I don’t think for a moment that the current promotion haven’t paid MCC every penny demanded.

More balanced line up for Aces with a clear number one but potential to grow and build but Jamon Lidsey is in training with Leszno for the future and will mainly be at their sister track of Rawicz and can't see them releasing him to ride in Britain.

Team will look quite different but a number of familiar faces still and more cost effective as they really want and need to start making it pay there as they haven't so far and next season is a big year for them to balance the books but still compete at the top. Hope they do it

Bellego (British GSA 6.11) and Freddie Jakobsen (5.04) are the closest comparisons. So an assessed average of 5.00 hardly seems too high.

Dimitri Berge said on Twitter he's in need of a mechanic for both leagues in England. Perhaps he's BV bound for a full season this time?

Except that Jakobsen joined Poole on an assessed 4.
