Peterborough Panthers 2019

I agree. Neither rider should be signed. Just saying I think you will end up with them. How many times has the new owner of Peterborough Speedway signed Simon Lambert to be King's Lynn's No.7 in the top flight? Add that to the fact Ged always signed Simon Lambert when he was the owner.

As for Ostergaard. Ged loves him. Bags of experience around the EOES on a 4.75 converted average. I wouldn't be shocked if Peterborough signed him.

Think there will be at least a couple of this years team who will remain, MPT has to be favourite for one place, dont think Nicholls will return wasnt strong enough as a Championship heat leader around the Showground expect him to head to foxhall

Doesn't exactly inspire anyone when theres Lynn fans who say they dont go to home meetings because of the way he runs his beloved Lynn team, then theres those who seem to think Peterborough are now the poor neighbours that will just end up with whats left and have very limited funds to attract anyone  ,NKI and Bjerre might prefer to "come home" now, they both could be used as a means of getting some of the fans that had drifted away to return and as has been pointed out many times assets are pointless now as riders will ride were they want to.

I’m a Lynn fan who stopped going to KL for a few reason - one of the main reason is the poor racing gate and go is the norm - the one thing Pboro has got is a far superior race track that’s unless Buster ruins that as well .

God you lot need an injection of enthusiasm, hope you get it with a few signing announcements, the management holding a fans forum would be great too.... I understand you're tentative re the new arrangement, guess I would be, but you have speedway at the showground for another year, that's great, particularly our derbies :D

Try this:   Imagine Colin or Mick Horton had just purchased your Club and then see how enthusiastic you feel!    That’s the rough equivalent for Panthers fans.   Midweek racing has never gone down well with our fans which is a major issue although Stars fans are now very used to it - I can remember when Saturday nights were your race meetings with Simmo and Betsy as I often used to attend so acceptance and adjustment is possible but takes time.

News to me . Since when? Panthers signed him from Oxford and subsequently was loaned to Wolves and KL. Not sure whether KL ever signed him fully.

I think some team signings could make a difference to the mood, especially some good ones.

Anders Thomson last average was 8.29 in the Championship if I'm correct. That would equate to 5.53.

A bargain for a rider of his ability.

We have so many options.

There's no such rule.

That we know of, we know the governing body change/add/amend rules as they see fit.

Or homers . Score a few points at home vs weaker riders and be half a lap behind away.

Had the pleasure of watching Bacon weekly the past few years. I can honestly say he has made huge steps this year. With it being just over 3 point riders in reserve it would depend how many similar standard riders there are going to be to see if he is likely to be outclassed.

Easily the best 3 pointer there is and well worth a shot in the top flight.

Priorities lie on him getting a championship place tho now, he is too good for the NL now.

7 teams is hardly a league anyway but point taken.

Sweden managed it a few seasons ago and whilst I agree 8 should be the minimum it was a very open league in 2018.

just to add its great to see the Panthers back where they belong. Looking forward to travelling to the Showground next year again now.

Some new names would be useful. It like living in a time warp.

Have missed brum's banter over the last few years. It's been grim downstairs. We've had to bring Taps and his mates with us (in fact as step bruvvers now) but no pain no gain as they say :D

Ok, I've had a go with a side which is very local, keeps our costs down on flights.

  • 1. Andersen - 7.56
  • 2. Thomsen - 5.53
  • 3. Bjerre - 7.02
  • 4. Jepsen Jensen - 6.52
  • 5. Iversen - 7.38
  • 6. Palm Toft - 5.36
  • 7. Bacon - 3.00

42.37

I would pay £20 each week to watch the above side. The above team is one that would compete in the Polish or Swedish League.

Take Thomsen out that side. He won’t do the UK. Just signed for Gorzow why would you risk the UK.

So what? Thomsen is not a superstar, he needs to ride to gain experience.

If you just signed in the extraliga i doubt you go i need the UK as well. You do the UK to get extraliga. Not the other way round.

He has Sweden, Poland and Denmark plus i think he gets an SEC place.
