A few tracks had rubbish surfaces last year and it seemed it was a different shale they had used as the original supplier closed down. Doesn't really need any work apart from a bit of Frost style tractor racing (tedious I know but probably a necessity) during the meeting. Over the last few seasons we've had an alleged camber introduced and the track smoothed with surgical precision, neither helped particularly IMO, when all it needed was a regular consistent layer of shale.
