Didn't the good stuff come all the way from somewhere in Scotland

Plus the oil from the bikes made it better, now banned.  A few tracks had rubbish surfaces last year and it seemed it was a different shale they had used as the original supplier closed down.

At Lynn it’s stock car friendly stuff, don’t think you’ll have that problem  at the EoES. He has many faults but when it comes to making a circuit smooth and even there are few better than Buster.

Doesn't really need any work apart from a bit of Frost style tractor racing (tedious I know but probably a necessity) during the meeting. Over the last few seasons we've had an alleged camber introduced and the track smoothed with surgical precision, neither helped particularly IMO, when all it needed was a regular consistent layer of shale.

I was at the show ground last night for the Boxing and the track looked good although obviously still quite a lot more work to do but the actual surface looked different with more clay added and less brick dust
