After all the hassle with Jack Holder, Torun & Buster interfering, plus Busters  own agenda with Chris Holder, is anybody really surprised that Ged don't want to work with him ?

Think there is a lot more than we know or will ever know.

I have reasoned this before.     I even wondered how long it will be before they rename the league as the CHAPMANSHIP   :t:

My own  view is that Ged did not go voluntarily

Was there even a ‘job’ for Ged and/or Watson.  Once Busters boy Pratty was brought in, then it was a done deal.

No animosity apparently. Would be nice to think that people can move on and forward in a positive manner, good results and action on track will help to that end.

Despite the local rivalry I’d like to see Peterborough (and Ipswich) do well this year, apart from the occasions they race against Lynn of course.

There will be most likely be some unexpected results between the three teams in the later stages of the season

If any dodgy results to get one team into the playoffs takes place the other teams can always appeal to the head of the bspa

The problem is that even if they are genuine results and not dodgy ones people have already made up their minds and the conflict of interest is already established. Thick skins and ducks backs may be required come the latter stages of the season.

Would never advocate any kind of skullduggery of course, unless it screws Poole over :D

100% a conflict of interest with out doubt - even avalibllity of guests could be an issue remember Buster has control of 21 riders .

The whole thing stinks - yes he probably saved the league and possibly two clubs but at what cost to speedway in general?

3 riders at Peterborough were offered no1 money (Harris , Andersen and Cook) by Ged. At no time did Buster agree to this which led to Peterborough being over budget. Ipswich had room left in their budget for a rider on No1 money. Maybe all 3 were asked to move and Harris agreed to as he would be on same deal. The other 2 took a possible decrease to allow Tungate (who would never be at Ipswich for various reasons) to sign......

Maybe

Allegedly

Think you would find Ged  disputes this view

It's not so much that he saved the league - but seemingly, saved the league on domestic TV. The Premier League could have run with 6 / 5 / 4 clubs ( if the BSPA so decided ). It does stink that Mr Chapman controls three clubs and 21 + riders. He will, before long, have majority control and then what he says becomes  The Way of "top: league UK speedway as it crumbles to ashes in his hands.

Don't think the availability of guests will be an issue. That will be down to the individual riders themselves if they want to take a booking or not..Having said that not too many riders seem to like to take guest bookings nowadays, must be down to their workload what with all the doubling up and other countries. There are obviously some that will,Harris being one.
