See the outstanding  Wolves v Peterborough Supporters cup fixture is planned for Sunday October 13th three weeks after the final was run, any bets on the number of guests on show if its run at all.

:D

Thought that I read somewhere that we looked at that location (think that there was a moto ball fixture there with the likes of R.Greer participating) when we first started but there were noise issues then so we ended up at the EoES.

Shame that Mick Horton's Fengate motorsports complex (remember the ET splash and plans) never got off the ground, we wouldn't be having this conversation.

Didn't they originally look at the old spedeworth stock car track at Wisbeach

Perhaps not.

More likely not. By the time the end draws near, there may be only a large handful attending anyway.

Never heard that one but imagine that Mr Greer and co would have looked at anything that might have worked.

Poole v Kings Lynn also to be arranged after the playoffs. Has to be run or the home club gets a big fine.

No but then again isnt it better to not qualify than reach the final and lose.

Depends if the fine is bigger than the loss from the meeting if it is run.......

And the beauty of course is that several lads who appeared in the final will, (quite possibly due to the late staging) guest for either team in the qualifier of a competition that they had already competed in the final of for somebody else..

Or something like that. . :D

Very true and just another way that proves british speedway is in fact going backwards,

ALL outstanding meetings should be arranged before any play off meetings. It means some riders are hanging around for probably 3 weeks to a month & not riding.

I sincerely hope that the mistakes made from which they have learned from  do not result in the demise of Premier League Speedway at Peterborough. Some may feel "mistake"  is a euphemism  for deliberate act for which fans will pay the price.
