The rider who wanted to leave Plymouth and sign for Redcar, but was stopped from doing so by the authorities?) has been dropped by Plymouth! The day after transfer deadline day for the championship, putting him out of a job altogether, like Drew Kemp. isnt speedway wonderful.
boz 314 Posted August 28, 2019 (edited) But surely Plymouth can't go on without Wallinger? They will have to close the club down. Edited August 28, 2019 by boz 3 1

Nope nothing wrong with that. Unless clubs can learn to look after the interests of the sport as a whole rather than short term individual ambition there will be very few teams left to compete against. This aged well. Looking at the Plymouth website you would think that they have closed down! The latest league table is from May and the latest news item is from the start of August. The news about the two new team members is on the BSPA website but no mention on the Plymouth website. Maybe changing the name of the team to something about an Essex Banger Team from Devils which everyone in Speedway had got to know proved too much for the webmaster. northyorksbear 609 Posted September 1, 2019 (edited) Well Done to Kaiser Erik, great performance. But lets also celebrate Tom Woolley, he matched GB & Glasgow (and defending champion) star Craig Cook's score - and from one less ride Edited September 1, 2019 by northyorksbear spelling

Keeping him proved to be the right thing then, well done bspa. Fortunately Wally has got signed up at Kent so thats his 5th team this season (6th if you count that he signed & dropped Plymouth pre-season before resigning). How many riders can better that in one year?
