Not sure how Somerset will bring BWD in after a few meetings, Covatti will up his average and the two pointers wil, still be a minimum two even if there averaging 1.5,  points limit is still 38 I believe?

And a further problem is

16.3.3   A rider in a Team's declared 1 - 7 at the end of the previous season and not included in that  Team’s new season’s initial declaration may not be subsequently re-introduced into that Team

from the 2018 Rulebook

For whatever reason, you didn't quote the whole rule.    Final sentence is "without the express permission of the Management Committee"

As Wilson-Dean has been put on the sidelines through no fault of his own, but by Workington closing, a request to reintroduce him at Somerset would probably be granted.

But on the other hand, would they want him?

I intended too quote the whole rule, cut and paste error on my part. Would the MC use its power - well that is pretty much impossible to second guess

PLAY OFF CONTENDERS

Is it only me that I can see no point of the "Play offs" were they not introduced for the benefit of Sky ref. the Elite league?

The Championship "Play off" winners won't be getting promoted the following year, so whats the point!

I would rather see an end of season K. O. Cup.

I've said it before but I think the promoters have taken their eye off the main event,  I think we the supporters want weekly entertainment. The Promoters put all their efforts into winning maximum league points by any method with entertainment & good speedway not top of their shopping list......

What about bringing the old silver helmet match races & meaningful second half racing back ( they were the good old days )

Do you think any current promotions genuinely give a toss about bringing on young uns? The vast majority of M/SDL teams are all organised and run by devoted individuals despite clubs/BSPA best attempts to hold them back (i agree the NJL is a little different). Until everyone stops thinking about the next meeting and has a genuine view to the future there will be no future.
