!961 Internationale Harringay

"You must all know that the first Internationale at Harringay was the one and only time I raced there.

I guess I won the meeting because I was so angry, it was supposed to be a meeting instead of the World Final as the final for the first time was held outside England and the same rules as for the final was set. And yet I was the only rider to turn up with a uncut tyre, everyone else had cut tyres...."

 

 

Though he still won....Anyone know why all this happened? Anymore information. Ove can only remember this about this event. I remember a terrific meeting with a fantastic final.
