Guest Posted February 5, 2019 (edited) Oliver Hart, in 1949, was the last legtrailer to appear in the old classic-style World Final. This article by Tag Allison concentrates on the style - with a special comment on Oliver Hart's World Final appearance: http://www.national-speedway-museum.co.uk/tag-allison-my-leg-trailing-memories.html h Edited February 5, 2019 by Guest
Guest Posted February 7, 2019 (edited) I never obviously saw Bluey Wilkinson ride or seen an action photo of him. I know from action photos that I have that the two initial world champions Lionel Van Praag and Jack Milne were foot for ward stylists. My query in regard to Wilkinson is - was he the first and only legtrail rider to win the World Championship when he claimed the crown in 1938? Guest Posted February 8, 2019 I have received an email which informs me that Bluey Wilkinson in 1938 was indeed the only legtrail rider to win the world championship.
