BORDERNAPOLIS 2019 (Berwick, March 30th)

Recommended Posts

Topsoil summed up most of what I was going to post. Decent meeting to be fair with some good close racing. Not as cold as it’s been for season openers, but they did a decent job in hurrying it along after the injuries in heat 12. Good to see the tannoy on bend three has been adjusted so we can actually hear announcements.

Team looks solid throughout, but the real tests are yet to come.

I would disagree.  Meetings like testimonials, or even the BenFund are like that for riders, yes.

But meetings like Sheffield's opener, the Belle Vue thing this Saturday and yes, the Bordernapolis are earners -- and no professional, self-employed rider is going to go out and mess about if it means he's passing up good money.

Seven races at Berwick will mean up to something like £1K for the big scorers.     You can blow off a lot of cobwebs with a grand!

So we can take it Kev, Spud, NBJ, Stormy earned "something like £1K" last night what a way to start the season.

Judging by some of the racing , last night was more than a blowing the winter cobwebs off event . Some decent action and fairly consistent times with all of the Bandits riders picking up at least one win . The serious stuff starts next week .

not every body like you can afford a season pass

A small amount of £4.50 a week put away in a pot all year round and when the season starts there is your season ticket money a lot easier than finding £17 plus every meeting try it.It works for me.

Enjoyed last night, decent enough racing infront of what seemed to be a decent crowd. All seven Berwick showed up well with Coty Garcia catching the eye the most, hopefully Danny Ayres will be ok after his crash while Ty Proctor might as well have stayed at home. Season ticket collected before hand, looking at the list of names on the season ticket list it looks like many have taking up the clubs offer which can only be good news.

Blatant plug alert.... and continues to be good news as, with programmes (which are included in the price) now costing £3 buying a standard pass at £229 represents a saving of £41 over the remaining 14 meetings and for those aged 65 and over, disabled or students (ID proof needed for these three) a saving of £45. Buy and pay via the club website http://www.berwickbandits.co/content/buy-season-passes
