IOW - Vince Mapley Memorial - 11 April

Thursday 11th April is the date for the curtain raiser on the Island and the riders invited are, in alphabetical order, Danny Ayres (Mildenhall), Scott Campos (Plymouth), Ryan Terry-Daley (Wightlink Warriors), Connor King (Wightlink Warriors), James Laker (Weymouth), Joe Lawlor (Unattached), the holder Ben Morley(Wightlink Warriors), Danno Verge (Wightlink Warriors), Chris Widman (Wightlink Warriors), Chad Wirtzfeld (Wightlink Warriors), Georgie Wood (Wightlink Warriors), Tom Woolley (Unattached). Reserve Morgan Williams (Wightlink Wizards).

I cannot wait to kick the season off with this super meeting. We remember a great man with some super action on the track.

Sounded like a fair meeting to finally get the Warriors on track after the P&P washout. Obviously there was some rust early on as the number of retirements is a little concerning this early in the year. Big congratulations to Jason Edwards for his win (fortunate or not winner is first past the post) and to Morgan Williams for his first ride at this level.
