Shouldnt knock george am sure cant be easy keeping the club going but he has done a good job all these years .

Ok, well back to shale,,, its probably of little use to the Rugby or Football clubs, (unless they want to use it to thicken the Bovril up)... So if anyone is offering to buy it off them, they'd be foolish not to accept.

Is it safe enough material to use as foundation infill for the new (soon to be built) Allerdale stadium ?

it was not just any old shale , it was experienced shale  plus in amongst all that shale there is a water drainage system that should have been left @ Derwent Park !LOL

i am sure the shale has already moved onto a new home .
