Craig Cook: what next?

30 grand is massive sponsorship if true, especially for an average performer.

Over the seasons CFS have sponsored him I'd imagine the figure amounts to a 6 figure sum!!

30k a season is a bit wide of the mark. It was more like 19k a year.

Which is still a full time wage for some people

Some clubs don’t get anywhere near that sort of cash for headline team sponsorship. Shows how daft Cook is to blow away CFS money.

It still is a little inconsistent for CFS to be still 'using' an image of Craig Cook on the front page of their own website and extolling their previous association with him to promote their business rather than updating the information with 2019 details instead.

If CCook has a good meeting tonight he may well land a premiership ride - thats if Roscoe allows him to ride.

I hope he has a great meeting tonight, as far as getting a Premiership team I think Craig`s reputation is beginning to go before him now.

If your writing an article about someone you d think to of ask them for an up to date photo.

Equally you would think Craig would want to keep his current sponsors happy . Imagine you pumped a few grand into a rider who then got a couple of pictures in the national press, only to find your logo nowhere to be seen. But companies who have not paid anything this get national exposure.

That all said The Daily Star sponsoring Team GB should hopefully mean we may get a few more inches coverage a bit more often...

I think these days, newspapers will just look to see what photo they have in stock and go with it. It is very much the responsibility of clubs/riders to keep sending latest pics to the media.

Exactly just how hard is it to sit still and not move until the tapes go up.

All meetings should just adopt the Polish system..

On the Polish thread it was said all front wheels have to be 10cm away from the tapes..

And watching the racing out there, it is very strictly policed by the start marshall and ref..

No room for rollers, or 'twitching' as the tapes will be touched...

Very rarely see a restart for tapes issues in Poland..

Not convinced Phil, At the top level a decent start is a distinct advantage, on some tracks it practically guarantees you a race win.
