Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted April 13, 2019 Looking forward to coming up for this. First meeting on the new track, though I am sure the Swindon riders will have spent plenty of time on it before the meeting. Hope it rides a lot better than the old track. Downside for us is the riders won’t have a clue on the racing lines or even the feel of the track. Hope the weather is set fair with a big crowd.
Gavan 5,049 Posted April 13, 2019 Tough match for Poole I like the look of the Swindon side. Rider for rider I make them the better team apart from at 2 and 7 and possibly
dump that clutch 630 Posted April 15, 2019 given the time this track has had to 'bed' in, i'll be shocked if there isn't any issues with it during this opener... but, it's a tough open meeting for us Robins, will look to win by 6 IMO.

Skidder1 7,634 Posted April 16, 2019 A potential banana skin for the Robins - and also for the Pirates I guess?! Could be a big home win or a very narrow away win depending on who adapts to the new track best. Hope the Pirates manage to keep it close for the Friday morning return at 'gate and go' Wimborne Road. Should be good crowds at both fixtures.
A ORLOV 8,628 Posted April 16, 2019 Just hope the riders are able to get some practice in on thurs morning
stevebrum 6,820 Posted April 16, 2019 A new track with little practise could indeed be a banana skin meeting for the home side. Swindon looked impressive in their first match last night so should be a home win.

Mafiarule 12 Posted April 17, 2019 Think the result will be immaterial. More eyes will be how track holds up. I can see a narrow Poole win on a dust bowl.
