Poole v Belle Vue Thurs 2nd May 2019

Recommended Posts

So new co-promoter Danny Ford rings the changes - or at least the riding order - for this first home league meeting.

The Aces have gone well at Wimborne Road in recent years and are looking strong again in 2019 so I reckon a close one again 47-43.

Poole: 1.Holder; 2. Worrall; 3. Klindt; 4. Grajzconek; 5. Kurtz; 6. Covatti; 7. Busk Jacobsen

On paper it should be a comfortable win for the home side

Fricke will probably go ok

Worrall can blow hot and cold at Poole

Bjerre didnt score at all well on his last visit

Bewley has struggled at Poole in the past and is still feeling his way

And i dont think Wells , Berge and certainly Lidsey have ridden there before ( i may be wrong)

This should on paper be a 10 point win for the home team and the reserves should run riot

Yeah, but that’s pretty unforgivable for you, Gav, as you follow Poole so closely!  :)

Yeah quite a few times over the years! Has had the odd good meeting there too.

Edit - has rode at Poole, not for Poole though, apart from the possible guest booking.

I thought he was a late season signing one year when you guys won the Play Offs? Could be wrong though!

EDIT wrong I am, he was a guest in the 2011 final.

I had to really think about it as there have been few last month of the season signings over the years!

My guess would be 50-40 ish.

Key man for the Aces is Dan Bewley for me. He is still finding his feet away from home. Scoring 11 and 12 points at the NSS, but 1 and 0 away so far. It will come at some point for sure, once the lad gets a few more meetings under his belt..

Berge rode there a few weeks ago, scoring 3,0,2,0 at number 6. So could pick up a few points for the Aces.
