New date for the Eskiltuna Smederna v Vetlanda match postponed on Tuesday is Wednesday August 14th and the Masarna v Piraterna is Thursday August 15th

Great opportunity for a few days watching Speedway in Sweden !!! Elitserien League matches on Tuesday,Wednesday and Thursday with  Allsvenskan league matches on the Monday and Friday with the Malilla GP to finish it off on the Saturday.

Monday at  Nykoping Griparna v VIP speedway

Tuesday Masarna v Smederna,Vastervik v Rospiggarna,Lejonen v Kumla and Piraterna v Dackarna

Wednesday Smederna v Vetlanda

Thursday Lejonen v Vetlanda, Masarna v Piraterna

Friday at Hagfors Valsarna v Vargarna

Saturday Malilla GP

That would be a great week but I reckon very expensive. :t:

Lot of miles to drive- however one could fly into Stockholm(Skavsta) with Ryanair which is very very close to Nykoping, and is also the airport i have have used on several occasions for malilla.

No Tuesday matches next week- just the 2 matches on Thursday

Piraterna v Lejonen

Vetlanda v Masarna

At the moment Vetlanda v Masarna is the match on Freesports live at 6pm- but that could change !!!

Swedish teams will have to make changes because of UK fixtures

No Lambert for Lejonen

No Tungate for Masarna

No Batchelor for Vetlanda

Västerås could be an option (Ryanair from London Stanstead) since it's close to both Smederna (Eskilstuna) and Masarna (Avesta)
If one would do the week above I would do Nyköping Monday, Avesta Tuesday, Eskilstuna Wednesday, Avesta Thursday, Hagfors Friday
and then the Malilla GP on Saturday.

Ghostie good to hear from you- problem with your schedule would be having to Watch Masarna twice !!!!(watching Smederna twice  would be less of a chore :D)

You could send them an email at  info@ess-play.com  (they have always replied to me) asking if they can switch the 4 camera match- ie the match Freesports show to Piraterna v Lejonen from Vetlanda v Masarna as it will be a far closer result and hopefully therefore better viewing.

No reply as yet?

Hi All,

I have just received a reply to my email and they are now showing Piraterna  v Lejonen.  The response below.

Hi Andy,

It will be Piraterna vs Lejonen that will be broadcasted this week.

The matches that are broadcasted are picked together with the club and the federation and we are always interested in hearing your opinion.

I have noticed with the Swedish coverage that 1 team is shown 2 weeks running. Now they can change which meeting they are showing at short notice. Anyway i am not complaining. I love the coverage. Like the commentator always say they play great music at the tracks in that Country. Bit of Shakin Stevens at the last one. I love Swedish Speedway.
