But 95% of a home crowd don't know, or care, what happens on the road.  They only see an absolute star, beating the likes of Cook and Wells every week!  So Dany, infuriating as he may be, has to stay as long as he top-scores, and wins matches at home, week after week....

Oh no your back dividing up people into fans and supporters, anyway that`s rubbish. With these new fangled things such as social media and internet it is easier than ever to see and scrutinise our meetings home and away and see what riders is scoring what, if you think people are only interested in what Berwick do at home then you are wrong.

You make a good point here, but surely your percentage is a good bit out....there are certainly many at all clubs who couldn't care less about away fixtures.....or where they are in the league.

Last minute decision to go last night and after two heats thought it might be a good choice. Next 6 heats were thoroughly depressing. Score flattered Edinburgh as any luck came our way.

Don't like to criticise riders but Sedgy was very, very poor for a rider of his experience. The rest were trying hard but usually not making good enough starts.

Was very impressed with Leon Flint with good passes on Josh and William and, as ever, enjoyed watching Matty Wethers.

Think a lot of fans were thinking Sedgmen was a big gamble, but the ridiculous low Team averages have  big part to play in recruitment of riders.Berwick fans criticism of signing Danny G need to realise that they have 4.84 rider who will be good for 10-14 points at home most weeks which is more than be said of other riders with similar average.Admittedly the track and his gating give him a big start. He is really poor at most other GB tracks.

Berwick won 21-15 (it was announced as 20-16, but later corrected).

Some spirited races for minor places between Blair Smith and the Millar boys, while Freddie Fox-Baron had a paid maximum from the young lads' races.

As ever, good entertainment for those who stayed back to watch.  The future's bright!

I thought I heard that young Freddie had come up from St Albans in Hertfordshire, close to my old stomping ground. Amazing how the parents of these young boys sacrifice so much for their kids. I’ve done that journey many times and it’s not pleasant.
