Scunthorpe v Glasgow

Thats the prob "didnt want too" they should be told u are !

And you would be happy if two teams full of guests plus r/r plus juniors raced against each other. Throw in the dodgy weather and that would really draw in the crowds. Do you really want scunthorpe to join the ranks of former speedway tracks.

The plot thickens! are u saying it was called off soon last week due to guests and r-r and not the weather?

No! You said they should have been told to race this Friday. Sadly riders are self employed and this Friday wasn't on there list of dates. It is safe to assume that both Glasgow and Newcastle wouldn't have been able to field there full team hence why they allegedly said they couldn't come. Scunthorpe have injury problems and as another poster said the track has taken a pasting from the weather hence why they appear not to be keen. Do you get it now

Last weeks decision to cancel was well justified.. the rain did come down, incidently at its heaviest about 7.30pm. Certainly wouldn't have got a meeting on. For Scunny, Stevie Worrall was a good choice of guest, as was Anders Rowe (given his performance at the EWR a few weeks back)...plus R/R which could've been taken by Worrall, Auty, Neilsen and Ayres.. Can't see why Scunny would've wanted it off, Glasgow neither as they too had lined up good guests.

They are employed march 15 to 31 october its a shame the bspa chairman and deputy arnt as strong getting these 2 teams to race as they were refusing others not to race last season.

Even with the help of Tsunami's excellent guide to Ashington dialect words, this seems to be Hungarian to me!

its not the number of rods i go through , its the numbers of hooks and line i lose. when you get a bigger fish than expected the line breaks on one of the hooks .

but its a sport i like and as you know gaz , its very enjoyable and costs very little . why dont you give it a try gaz or do you do the magnet fishing thing ?

Plenty of spare dates available with only having 14ish home meetings. Date now arranged for July 28th so, hopefully, will be warm enough. Come and join us with you missing speedway that much & air your grievances face to face with Godfrey rather than sticking the knives in on a forum.

I did speak to him last year after mr garrity told my 8 yr old grandson to "piss off " after rasmas caught him on the line and he was acting worse than my 8 yr old, and to his credit he listened and answered all points put to him.
