Lots of dive bombs under the opposition and rode them (fair and square), right up to the fence which let their second rider come through... Reminded me of watching Polish racing, where it really does matter who wins a Speedway meeting.. It goes to show, put down a decent track and riders will take more risks as they don't have to worry how a bike will react to certain patchy parts of a track, which only can add to the spectacle.. Max Fricke certainly coming of age, both here and overseas. Definitely got a big future... And as for Poole, well I think we already know the outcome come the Play Off Final.. Once again, a great advert for the sport coming over on TV from the NSS.. Good post. Fricke is without doubt a GP star of the very near future. Poole clearly wanted this and it was great to see every rider give everything to the cause.
ouch 1,191 Posted July 1, 2019 Well done to Poole on the win and their part in an entertaining encounter. When luck comes your way you cannot squander those chances and though it was close they managed to cash it in. Having said that the pirates seem to know more than any team the opportunities that the NSS offer. They know there’s no home advantage and that races needn’t be over after the first two bends. This saw them pull off some sweet moves that really added to the night. For the Aces they’ll have to like their wounds and hope that luck really doesn’t even out over the season. Quick word for the management committee, well played guys, you got us.

We have the best track and stadium in the UK, but sadly the worst TM and management. Lemon makes basic mistakes every meeting and the management are to slow to make necessary changes . Just not good enough and he should be sacked. If things continue like this we will struggle to make top 4. The future at BV looks bleak.
lastword 200 Posted July 1, 2019 (edited) Fricke aside a poor effort from the Aces tonight. Only one heat advantage by heat 12. At home! Haven't watched the play back from TV but look forward to seeing Mark Lemon's press conference. I have to admit that when I filled in the programme at the end I couldn't believe we lost by only two points. Felt like more. With him firing in 3rd heat leader scores The Aces should be in the play-offs. The Aces are definitely missing that third heat leader.. Dan is riding one position too high in the team as is Steve Worrall.. Their true level is as second strings... Their home form delivering a disproportionate overall average higher than their true capability... Not sure how the Aces sort that conundrum, hence a two man team in the main.. Especially when they have a team manager who struggles to give race winning reserves more than five rides...

I think mark lemon made two big mistakes tonight leaving berge in heat7 and leaving bickley in heat 8 .it may not of made any difference to the final outcome .good meeting for tv coverage though

Steve Shovlar 10,439 Posted July 1, 2019 Of course that would have meant Bickley out in heat 14 which would have gifted Poole a 4-2. Or heat 12 reserve swap which would have given a Poole heat advantage. It would have made no difference swapping him out as what you gain in one you lose in another. You said Poole where fu**ed when Bickley was announced. What a sad one. Your either thick, a troll, or bit of both.
