Berwick Bandits v Leicester Lions CL 13-7-19 @7-00pm

Recommended Posts

Well after a 3 week break we welcome back our last opponents, this time in a League Fixture the Lions from Leicester. Team news from our website Berwick using  r/r for NBJ due to illness, while the Lions go like for like replacing the injured Richie Worrall with his lookalike Steve. Shelby Rutherford at Number 7 for the Lions. Heard on Swedish Speedway last night a busload of Lions fans coming up for this meeting which is good to see. Going to be a tough meeting  they will be confident after there last visit here. My predictions have been not bad this season so 45-45.

Same Rutherford who can't make the trip to Plymouth tonight? Shouldn't be allowed to take guest bookings if you cannot fulfil your own fixtures.

Don't debate that but its a riders choice if they wish to participate in racing or not. Far to often the peripheral clubs like Plymouth get partial visiting teams due to excuses.

He used 1 of the few holiday leave days he had accrued to make the trip to Plymouth in June that was rained off .. He only has a few days owing to him which he has scheduled around his race commitments and as much as he wanted to not let the club down by not making the trip , He couldnt get an unpaid  day off either as other people where on holidays .

Friends and Family Night again at Shielfield --- and another chance to see 7-time British Champion Scott Nicholls strutting his stuff!

Weather seems set fair (ooops, did I say that out loud?) the Leicester fans have a coachload a-coming and we're gonna have fun.....

Tapes up 7pm

We have been there twice 4 days holiday £220 each time in fuel £80 travel lodge and using up day like that means we might not get there for next one as not got many days left to take

Away win for me by something similar to the cup semi a few weeks ago. I think lack of race winners will be our un-doing.

Unsure on this weeks rules but would Berwick have the option of using a guest for Jakobsen, that IMO would've been the better option.

He has Mildenhall on Sunday so would be one hell of a weekend

Think they can use a guest as he is in Top 3 of our averages. 7.27 to play with at home with the 5% allowance

Thanks, a guest would be the best way to go to win this meeting. Maybe trying to save money.

Had we had a guest at Scunny would have been a different outcome, 2pts from NBJ rides he scored paid 15 there last season albeit from reserve.
