Ben Ernst is the grandson of former East German Champion Hartmut Ernst (1977) and his father (Martin) also rode. Sam Hagon is I am sure the son of Martin. Marlon Hegener's father Benjamin was also a Longtrack/Grasstrack rider. Not sure if he rode speedway at all Edited July 16, 2019 by iris123

Of the others it may be a case of popular names rather than links? 8 Rasmus Pedersen Denmark 12 Casper Henriksson Sweden 8 Reserve Nicklas Lind Larsen Denmark 3 Jesper Knudsen Denmark 8 Mathias Karlsen Denmark 13 Flynn Nicol Australia

racers and royals 8,712 Posted July 16, 2019 The supp regs do say top 7 from each semi to qualify for the final- which i suppose means 2 wildcards in the final ?
iris123 20,935 Posted July 16, 2019 Not sure, but quite likely two spots in the final are reserved for Danish riders
moomin man 76 171 Posted July 16, 2019 The Estonians have been concentrating on youth development for a few years now, and in time, they will have some good prospects coming through. It will be interesting to see how Viljam Lappi goes too, after scoring 17 points from 7 rides in his SM-Liiga debut.
iris123 20,935 Posted July 16, 2019 (edited) Yes the Estonians had/have a team in the Finnish league if I remember rightly? Edited July 16, 2019 by iris123
arnieg 3,622 Posted July 16, 2019 (edited) Pretty sure Casper Henriksson is son of Anders Henriksson (and grandson of Terje) The 85cc version of this championship was recently won by a youngster with an even more impressive pedigree: Bastian Pedersen His father is Ronnie and uncle our dear friend multi world champion Nicki Edited July 16, 2019 by arnieg

Estonians were in our 1st div a few years back, now there is a Latvian team involved in the league from Riga. And naturally both of them ride in the Baltic league.
