As many of here smugly commented after the Scunthorpe call-off 51 per cent chance of rain  also means 49 per cent it won't.

The sport has got itself in to this “weather scenario” over the last couple of seasons with its early call-offs so we just have to live with it.

A money saving move. I read in the Speedway Star a couple of weeks ago the Isle of Wight promotion said that the first season they were in charge they had a late call off which cost them over £3,500. They vowed never again to let this happen, so now call meetings off early if there is any doubt.

We all know that, but it will always put a lot of doubt into fans mind .Berwick's famous covers seem to be forgot about these days though. The forecast for the last few days was always going to be a bit iffy.

Only a minimal chance of rain for the rest of the day, according to the met office.

If that minimal chance is at 7.30 the riders will go home though.

rare for him not to be. Maybe he should get a job as a toilet cleaner. Maybe he should just get a job.
