You can tell it must be a decent deal because there isn't pages of whinging. Supporters of any other club would be shouting about this, but with Berwick it's met with silence. Speedway for less than £13, nobody else in the league can compete with that. Good offer for the kids as well, making the night out affordable for families as well.

I'm sure that the early price looks not too bad however when compared to last season the early price has unless I'm completely mistaken been put up £10 for a pensioner and in addition it is apparent that there is no match program in on the tickets this year for either adult or pensioner versus that of last year. In essence a bit of a hike to the price for a visit every week when you add the program to your visit. I'm unsure how this additional price has been placed on the pensioner ticket bearing in mind they have paid significant money to the club for a number of years.

Unsure if there may have been a better and fairer interest in adding the £10 to the adult ticket and leaving the pensioner as is.

On a positive the kids club is in my view a good one and will bring in a small sum that wasn't previously there and more importantly hopefully encourage more of tomorrows fans through the gate in turn increasing parent numbers alongside family friends that don't normally attend.

Unsure how the use of social media including club web site will look in the season ahead. Can only hope that it will be used a bit more and also more swiftly than it has been. Sometimes wondered if there was some significant time delay in items being posted and them appearing online after the pigeon arrived with the message in respect of announcements with programs being printed in advance of a meeting having more up to date information at times that the website..... Perhaps more proactive use of this medium to generate interest may lead to more revenue for the club.

Unsure how the team will go this season, hope I'm wrong but I can see some early changes having to be made......

KO Cup and Championship Shield: Details for these competitions will be confirmed when the future of Newcastle is resolved.

Looks like there will be Championship Shield

But no programme

That’s interesting. You’re saving 83p a meeting on last years offer, so in theory a £3 programme will cost £2.17 in real terms. If you share a programme or don’t bother (you can generate and print a scorecard online) you’re paying £12,44 a meeting.

No Shield this year.

Season is 16 home Championship League fixtures. Only other guaranteed home fixture is one KO Cup match. Progress in the KO Cup, qualifying for playoffs would extend the season but there is no standalone Shield. Think some have been confused about the league set-up which sees us race the other five northern teams home and away twice and the southern teams once. One big table, top six qualify for the playoffs.

So to clarify the pass is for the 16 home Championship League fixtures.

AFAIK the only doubt was Newcastle's participation. That would have thrown a spanner in the works and we don't really know what the contingency plans were had the Grants not taken over.

So with that solved there's no reason to think that we have not reverted to the position decided at the AGM. Release was "The Championship will operate a new-style league format in 2020 aimed at giving clubs more meaningful and more local fixtures. Clubs will be split into North and South sections, and will race the other clubs from their section twice and home and twice away, whilst facing those from the opposite section once at home and once away. In addition, the play-offs for the second tier have been extended and will feature the top six clubs."

Not sure where the confusion about the Shield comes from as it has never been mentioned except, perhaps, in some badly written press articles or web posts.

Believe the clubs now have to submit their preferred fixture lists for scrutiny on the basis of the above.
