Berwick Bandits v Redcar Bears (Saturday 3rd - 7pm)

Recommended Posts

This fixture, already looking competitive, has now been spiced by Charles Wright lifting the British Championship.

Berwick's usual line-up is Summers, Etheridge, Doolan, Gappmaier, Busk Jakobsen, Garcia & Flint.

Redcar will be bringing Riss, Andersen, Palm Toft, Stewart, Wright, Woolley & Greaves -- racing order unconfirmed.

Both sides at full strength -- Redcar with their new British champ, plus a new No 1, Erik Riss, who is a double World (long-track) Champion.

Bandits remain unbeaten at home in Championship action for over a year, but the recently-revised Bears could be their stiffest test so far this season.

If Charles Wright brings the same form he displayed at Belle Vue, Shielfield spectators are in for a treat.

Plus, with another tasty wee treat of the NJL mini-match following the main event, Saturday's spectators will be able to enjoy 21 meaningful races for their money.

Tell the town -- the new British Champion is coming to Berwick on Saturday night!

Times have changed it used to be a novelty having a second division rider riding in the British Final Now it’s a novelty having a rider who doesn’t ride in the second division riding in it

Good news again:

The Bandits management team would like to announce  that the popular Friends & Family Pass & Kids Go Free admissions will continue for the rest of the season!

£35 gains admission for 2 adults and gets you 2 programmes. This incentive has worked well and it is designed to encourage more fantastic fans to bring a friend or family member along for a night of Live Speedway.     This falls in line with 2014/15 admission and programme prices and we hope you will help us spread the word.

Kids will also enter for free for the remainder off the season but we must emphasise that all under 16’s must be accompanied by a paying adult.
Motorsport is dangerous and a parent or guardian must be responsible for any youngsters in attendance at all times.

Kevin Doolan's latest blog on the club website doesn't speak too highly of Rory Schlein!

Well said Kevin, riders with his attitude should be kicked out sport ,he is doing a lot of damage to its credibility.

Bears second away meeting on two days. Riding well, confidence high.

Bandits unbeaten at home for a year , well, its got to end sometime, and as a Bears fan, Saturday would be the perfect time to do it.

Tough ask though, realistically, anything from this meeting would be great. UTB !!

All the makings of a very entertaining meeting. Berwick now hit a run of regular home meetings, all of which need to be won if they have any ambitions of reaching a play off spot as points on the road are no guarantees. Happily the weather has played ball and we can look forward to a decent meeting.
