Is all this rider “swapping” In  “ best interest of the sport”.It harms it credibility IMO.Replacing injured riders ok ,but “ average swapping” is not.

It's just a circus act, It's like Belle Vue during the war, when the same riders pretended to be a different team each week.

Have we reached a point where everyone is signed for 1 month only and has the chance to move around on the first of each month? Riders can step away or be replaced freely. Yes it will be a mess and burn the last of any loyalty shown but with credibility at an all time low is it better to make it an official practice and at least accept the sport is flawed rather than the deceit that shines through.

Berwick are the ONLY team in all three leagues to have kept faith with their original 1-7.   Five of whom were returnees from 2018.

Pwoper pwomotion, Nige!

It is speedway's version of the Hokey Cokey. Only Berwick not playing.

I think we have made only '4' changes due to so called performance.....Thomsen/Newman/.Ostergarrd and Hume !? may be Stoneman is added, but he got injured at the same time?

Also, our changes have been made because we were so poor at the start of the season and not because we have/had any chance of winning anything?

Changes at the bottom end of teams is one thing and can be expected to some extent as these tend to be younger inexperienced riders and they can come back again.

But the recent Somerset change is pretty drastic and was no doubt helped by the Germans ‘retirement’.

On the plus/minus scale of points gained and lost home and away, Berwick are one of only five clubs with a 'plus' rating.

Its the table at the end of the season that counts.    See you on the 28th.

so not only do we lack continuity from season to season but now within a season. And continuity is one of the things people cite as a desirable thing

Which is expected after 7 away meetings and only 3 at home. Let's see where we are at the end of August.

I think the problem is leagues are too small and play offs skew decisions.
