On the plus/minus scale of points gained and lost home and away, Berwick are one of only five clubs with a 'plus' rating.

Its the table at the end of the season that counts.    See you on the 28th.

You can give us a hiding on the 24th first ! :t:

That's why they're almost bottom of the league !

6 home meetings in August, don't think we will be bottom come end of the month.

Berwick are the ONLY team in all three leagues to have kept faith with their original 1-7.   Five of whom were returnees from 2018.

Pwoper pwomotion, Nige!

Keeping faith is a nice way of trying to spin it, but it's more likely there's no money or inclination to make a change.

Can be hard to keep up with at times. Already have this just checking if a riders 2 teams meetings clash. Fair enough when there is a proper crisis like at Kent in the lower league right now.

There's no crisis at Kent. They are in the development league. All they have to do is promote riders from the MDL/SDL to fill the gaps and hopefully those riders will develop. Kent are in what is regarded as the powers that be as a training league.

Kent promotion/Kings fans may not like but the bspa hierarchy made the position clear last winter. They wanted none of this Div 3 idea.

I'm not saying I agree with the way the top leagues view the NDL, but it is an inescapable fact of where they see the NDL and teams like Kent.

Who would be a speedway rider sign for a club one week kicked out the door next week promoters tell them one minute they want them to ride for them next thing someone better comes along and it's thanks for nothing

It is speedway's version of the Hokey Cokey. Only Berwick not playing.

A ban for them or at least a huge fine. Or taking a few match points away. It brings promoters into disrepute if they don't all play by that rule "in the best interests of the sport".

Yes like Jacob Bukhave who was glad of a team placing, fitted in well started to find his feet and score well then be shown the door despite being told he would be given a chance dropping his foreign committments to focus on the team. Proves one thing now. Never ever trust Promoters or Managers.

The integrity issue for me is brought about by owning more than 1 club in any league, it effectively means those clubs under the same ownership can "squad" their riders so that one of them wins the league. Of course when Mike Parker tried this in the 60's he had rider control and an independent SCB to contend with nowadays the teams who are squadding are also on the Management Committee so very little to stop them winning the leagues every year.

Integrity?

How long have been watching  speedway to even think of mentioning integrity and speedway in the same sentence?

Never forget that Parker would make Chapman appear to be an angel. Any good that Parker ever did in either Speedway or Stock Cars was only done due to it being in his interests. The nastiest piece of work I ever met.
