Sorry about that but the National league is also sometime called the Development League when it suits. I agree that no way were the MDL lads going to go out on the track after that downpour it would have been to dangerous for them to do so. Just unfortunate that the rain came when it did as we do try to get them having their rides ,but on Saturday no chance there could have been a few accidents and I don`t like filling Accident Forms in. So  I apologise for miss reading the first post

No need to apologise, I can see exactly how you misunderstood the OP.

Cheers Chris; that is exactly what I was referring to and sympathising with the MDSL riders (and a car load of Reading fans ) who waited for their match to start but with conditions at that stage making it impossible.  The irony reference was that the MDL match which followed the NL match I attended last season was also rained off following a similar downpour.

With Adam Isherwood pushing off a grateful Leicester rider , whose bike had stalled, the desire throughout was plain to see. As you said Leicester were just too good on the night and with a rider performing well at the top level in their side, the result was never in doubt, but no criticism of any riders from me.

 

I could argue that Connor Coles was unintentionally knocked off as I had the perfect view of the incident, but, a different exclusion, wouldn't have altered the result and no way could the referee have seen the contact from the box. .  

 

Sadly, I didn't meet a group of first timers whose evening was ruined by the presenter referring to Plymouth as The Devils and who would never go to speedway again as a result.  Simply an unsung group whose aim was to keep things moving and who succeeded. 

Sympathies to the Development League guys but with the track like a lake at the time there is no way they could have raced. Ironically the same thing happened on my visit last season

Well mr ore. nice to hear from other speedway fans that things are improving at stoke this year and while I would agree it is not perfect it is a lot better than previous years. I had to miss this one due to a family party but hope to be back up this Saturday for the Plymouth match. So lets hope dave tattum and his band of merry men can keep up the good work and lets hope for some decent crowds to urge the potters on.
