How good is Pavlic these days? Could he still be a contender at Gorican?

Rides for Gniezno in Nice Polska league- certainly still competitive and looks to have fast engines  this season

Harris' record at Gorican in the GPs was very good, certainly can't rule him out here

Bomber is a great bloke and all that and a loyal servant to the sport and, in his day, was worthy of a GP place, but if he managed to qualify this year because he was a track specialist at this particular track, it would be such a retrograde step for the GP and I can't see it leading to anything other than further embarrassment for him in next year's GP series. Really, I can't help but think he should never have entered the qualifiers.

Bombers had a cracking career and very nearly got to the elite, there was a spell (short maybe) when he was arguably riding as well as anyone but those days have long gone

Michelson qualify means no Danish permanent WC. I'd take him in GP's over NKI on current form but he's not having a good year in SEC.

Lambert & Fricke have failed to deliver as reserves when called upon this GP season. But I'd take them over the others. As maligned & limited as he is Bellego was good entertainment in the SEC until he was Pedersened.

At Frickes current scoring rate had he raced all GPs he would be well inside the top 8, and Lambert made 2 semis so they ve not exactly failed to deliver. But then Tai has not won a heat in 2019 and that demonstrates how strong the line up is this year.

2 semi finals (& Fricke a final) Each!

I’m not quite sure what your expectations were but I don’t think either failed to deliver, they have won races and reached semi finals and a final which isn’t bad for young riders. It’s s tough, tough series with no room for error and I think they have both done ok.

Can't disagree with that.

Always been a fan of his but he's not going to be competitive if he makes it back into the series. Can't fault him for having the belief that he can still improve but also needs to be realistic.

Not long now until one of the biggest meetings of the year, this could make or break next season's GP given the (poor) standard of the line-up. I've been able to get the following together based on posts on here, seems very little considering it's a fortnight away.

Martin Vaculik

Matej Zagar

Niels-Kristian Iversen

Craig Cook

Peter Ljung

Chris Harris

Robert Lambert

Pontus Aspgren

Anders Thomsen

David Bellego

Mikkel Michelsen

Max Fricke

Martin Smolinski

Kenneth Bjerre

Aleksandr Loktaev

Jurica Pavlic

Will Lambert be fit for this? Will Harris manage to get back in?

Fricke, Bjerre and Vaculik will go through for me.

such a poor line up this year

Michelsen, Lambert and Fricke please, would hate to see any of the other riders in next year's GP

Why is it a poor line up? There is still a qualification system and these riders did just that (bar one usually as a home nominated wild card?). Can't really knock them for that, many more fell by the wayside or weren't picked to enter by their own licensing body.

Yeah, whilst I am a Bomber fan I doubt very much that he would ever be competitive at GP level again. BUT if he does qualify he will have done so on merit and no one can take that away from him. Be nice to see 3 brits join Tai but i'll settle for at least 1. I think Lambert will probably get a wildcard in 2020 baring injuries dropping a title contender out of the top 8.

I dont get all of this 'adds nothing' to the field talk

Only 1 rider can be World Champion

In a field of 15 riders you are going to get maybe 3 or 4 who will struggle it happens every year

2019 Zagar, Lindback

2018 Cook , Pawlick

2017 Lindback , Pawlicki

2016 Harris

I want to see the best 15 riders in the world and dont care if some struggle in 2020 as long as they mix it. Riders have to come 14th and 15th

Personally i would rather have Zagar and Iversen ahead of a Bellego or Pavlic
