The forgotten man

Recommended Posts

There is one rider who seems to get very little noticed this year and yet he is doing well enough that, although not number one at Swindon, with his average, he’d be number one at Ipswich, Peterborough, Poole and Wolverhampton.

Could Troy Batchelor be the Robins secret weapon that will spur them on the league success?

Certainly did a great job helping spur Poole to the title a few years ago, with a 'Man Of The Match' performance for them in a crucial 'must win' meeting for them to qualify for the play offs..

A great performance that night, all live on TV too..

Unfortunately he was riding for Swindon that season who Poole then beat in the final..:D

Poole have never beaten Swindon in a Grand final, although we beat them in 2012 final, and are their bogey team.

Doyley and him top 2 at moment. I remember a young Batch easily beating Leigh at Swindon when riding for Poirates.

You are right...

In the year he helped Poole into the play offs (2013) it was the Semis he (and his team) got knocked out by them...

Shame it wasn't the final, he could have got a runners up and a winner medal maybe? :D

The way he is knocking up the points, often scoring more points than Jason in away meetings, he can whinge and swear at the ref all he likes.

Perhaps Rosco has bought one of those useful lanyards that stop the dummy from falling to floor even if its spat out

Its then easy to reinsert and avoid prolonged disruption

Ah, but if he is whinging and swearing it distracts him from his scoring

Not always the case, it could get him wound up and more determined to beat the opposition.
