The taking in food issue is solely down to stadium owners not the Promotion, its stadium owners security guards who are instructed to check bags and not allow food for the meeting, they are far more relaxed for league meetings.

Simple solution to food issue. Take food out of your bag as you approach turnstile and put it in your pocket.

Just do what the missus did and inform them she's a type 1 diabetic and they were not stopping her taking anything in as it could save her life.

No, I mean geographically. Manchester is as  close as you will get to bang in the centre as far as speedway teams go.

Whilst it will effect different people depending on their own location you really should be taking a view with every team in mind, and when you do that, manchester is bang on the money.

Half of the Championship clubs are north of Redcar (if you include the Bears, that is) and Sheffield and Scunthorpe are about 100 miles away.

In terms of distance alone, Redcar is a better choice than Sheffield or Belle Vue.

Having said that, if both the NLRC and CRC were held over the same weekend (say Saturday and Sunday, with a 12.00pm start on Sunday) and it was promoted in the right way, you could hold the meetings at Belle Vue. I think it would attract a very decent attendance bearing in mind the (mostly) neutral venue, the NSS's reputation for racing and the stadium facilities. A similar event at Peterborough a couple of years ago was a huge success.

What about eastbourne? What about Somerset? What about Birmingham?

Like I said in the post you quoted, you really have to factor in every team, not just 75% of them.

Manchester is central to the uk and that really should be the top and bottom of it.
