It would be if cars didn’t have any brakes!!

Wouldn't take much to stop a car going at the speed Cook was going at.

It actually seems a reasonable outcome to me, although I see Kyle Newman appears to have got away with his later misdemeanours.

The exit from the track was just past where the steward was waving his flag, which was where the filming was done, not half way down the straight.   Cook should have stopped but the steward should not have moved in front of a bike with no brakes.

That’s the exit from the pits. The entrance is halfway down the back straight.

Which is where they took the bikes after the incident, anyway Cook should have stopped and the steward should not have jumped in front of him.

Shame any of them were banned,, they should have got them in a ring for the Ben fund.

Speedway often had dust ups and face offs,, was great for crowd, but it seems now most of the crowd are a bunch of snowflakes wanting riders banned.

What is the job of someone at a track with a red flag??

To stay on the infield (a safe place) and wave their flag.  Do you think stepping in front of a moving motorcycle without brakes is a smart thing to do?

thus saving a long walk/push for the mechanics  pushing  and bikes .gate was open ( as footage shows ) so it made it easier . not a problem .why walk the full distance when you can half it ?

shirley this thread cannot surpass the other easbourne / glasgow thread , or can it ?

So Cook misses 16th and 17th for Glasgow and then 19th and 22nd for Kings Lynn.  That's if the ban is for all racing and not subject to a sub clause that means it only applies to the CL

And 18th at Sheffield

That Marshal was dumb to walk in front of a 500cc bike & rider. Eastbourne should be fined by the HSE and ordered to train their Marshals properly. The riders were also dumb and beside being brought to book for being unprofessional, probably breached SCB regulations.
