auntie doris 1,437 Posted February 13 (edited) Well done Cymru...Great game. Scotland unlucky. Wales v 14 two weeks running. England at Cardiff in 2 weeks. Edited February 13 by auntie doris 1 Share this post Link to post
Richspeedway 193 Posted February 13 England was frustrating but luckily second half they started to perform and some of the youngsters showed they should be challenging for spots. Hope Willis is not too bad looked awful injury. Wales lucky again, felt sorry for Scotland Share this post Link to post
CrystalCastles 139 Posted February 13 Happy to win playing badly for large parts of the game. A game Scotland really should have won. Helped by the sending off and scotland blowing a try scoring opportunity, both gave Wales a big confidence boost. Some really good individual performances Rees Zammit, Hogg & Russell stood out in the backs, Johnny Gray had another good game. Some impact from the bench, we looked far more comfortable with Hardy and Sheedy on. May be the time for Biggar to slip into a bench role. 1 Share this post Link to post
Pinny 1,854 Posted February 15 Wales massively lucky again. Imo, they look way off standard atm despite two wins. Two wins against sides with a player sent off. a big bad bash down to reality next weekend vs England IMO. IF, and a big if, we do beat England then we should go on to win the whole thing but i can see England crushing us. 1 Share this post Link to post
Richspeedway 193 Posted February 19 I see they have been able to pass the law so no relegation to the Premiership for this season due to the virus. Makes sense as some games have been awarded so might not show the true reflection of who should be bottom. They are going to promote the team from the Championship (prob Sarries) and then close the door. I have heard that they might extend the closed door for a few more seasons which if they do BT Sport have already voiced they are not happy as some games the teams might be playing for nothing if not near the playoff spots. Also the Championship are not pleased as some teams are looking to try and break into the top league. 1 Share this post Link to post

If that happens Rich then expect Ealing Trailfinders to put up a legal challenge 1 Share this post Link to post
Richspeedway 193 Posted February 20 Saw the Bath v Gloucester game last night. Not exactly a thriller but two players sent off for tackles which had contact with the head. Think this might be like the high tackles we saw couple years back where a few red cards will be shown till players learn and adapt that tackles need to be low so not to risk a card. For me, the machismo swinging arm, usually a bulging bicep, and the shoulder charge, should never have become prevalent. At some point someone decided that a tackle wasn’t a tackle unless it hurt the opposing player. Used particularly in clearing out a ruck or the higher wrap up tackle to stop a pass. No one should be aiming a tackle, especially a weaponised one, above the chest, especially in the clear out when head and neck are so low and exposed. 1 Share this post Link to post

Richspeedway 193 Posted February 25 The draws for the Euro competitions will be made soon with a KO competition with sides who won two home games guaranteed a home fixture https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/rugby-union/56184748 From this I also had to smile as the fixtures were cancelled last year due to France not wanting English teams coming over or them coming to us as we had high cases of the virus. But now France have had to cancel training as they have a outbreak of the virus. Maybe the RFU should say we do not want them 1 Share this post Link to post
