Race for the top 4

Recommended Posts

With Wolves winning at Belle Vue tonight the race for the play offs are on. Peterborough can only be spoilers for the rest but both The Aces & The Witches are seriously looking over there shoulder now with current form of the other 3 coming up on the rails.

On current form would go Poole, Swindon, Wolves, Lynn.

No way Lynn will make top 4. Their away form is pretty rubbish.

Was about to post something similar, we have three away meetings left at Belle Vue, Poole and Wolves and need something from those. Not impossible but even with Lambert and Cook not injured/banned unlikely I’d say. Would need a couple of teams to completely implode.

Away points gained vs home points dropped table :

Poole +12
Ipswich +9
Swindon +6
Belle Vue +2
Wolverhampton +2
Kings Lynn +1
Peterborough -10

I think it's going to come down to how Belle Vue and Wolves do at Peterborough.

Glad to see someone else is using the same format as me to rationalise the league table.

Poole have got to go to Ippo and Wolves yet and need to rearrange home to Ippo too!

Should win at Ipswich. Wolves are good at home and might get a point but will be hard. Should beat Ipswich at home.

They have arranged home to Ipswich, 16th September.

With Ipswich being so easy to beat and Wolves on the up some 'tactical' results to ensure Poole can pick the Witches in the play offs required......:)

If Wolves don't make the playoffs and it is who it is right now, happy with BV or Ippo so actually finishing top isn't that massive. Only a big deal if there is someone there who you don't want. Unless Swindon pick us!! Haha.

Wolves and Swindon to make it with one of Ippo and BV to drop out. Poole to pick BV or Ippo and progress. Wolves knock us out in semis. Poole win the final. As simple as that!!
