Ice Speedway 2019-2020

Recommended Posts

Did see that Bruce Cribb is planning some demo rides in NZ on his ice bike. Probably promoting his new book, but a bit of promo for the sport as well

Well good news and bad. After a meeting with the mayor, the team will make their presentation and hold an autograph signing session, but they won't be allowed to ride on the ice. They will have some youngsters out on karts though

Many thanks for posting the update. Just curious as to who the four Kazakh riders are likely to be; let alone how they are going to be making the journey to Kauhajoki or Örnsköldsvik? Alternatively are they Russians riding on Kazakh licenses?

Russian rider Andrey Shishegov will likely race on a Kazakh license again.

They have 4 more riders in Pavel Nekrasov, Vladimir Cheblokov, Denis Slepukhin and Sergey Serov.

Long journey for them indeed. Last season Cheblokov drove all the way to Kauhajoki for the qualifier.

Didnt Cheblokov have one decent ride and then R and that was his meeting...

A bit like Barret coming to Ylitornio to have two T/T’s...

Yes Cheblokov quite impressed me there with 2,R,1,1,2 as his result.

Hahaha yeah Barrett his performance was funny and sad at the same time.

You have video, I have memories but his first heat was racing, others more like riding after his R.

Barrett was a bummer both times. He’s a lovely gent who was (and probably is) full of enthusiasm for the sport and he really did have mechanical problems both -19 and -18. Maybe they were avoidable ones, but in motorsport you have mechanical problems more often  than not. So to come that far to have some, thats bad luck.
