I agree, watching his vlogs make me appreciate how unglamorous it can be being an ice speedway rider ( travelling must be horrendous and exhausting). Fair play to him sticking at it after the comparatively glam world of the moto gp paddock!!!!

The racing in the Russian super league is tremendous, some of those younger lesser known riders are really stepping up. Thought Ledstrom had a great first day, not so good on the second and Haaruhiltunen beating Krasnikov on day two was a great race :D

Polish press release Google translated

On Saturday, March 21, 2020, in the Ice Arena Tomaszów Mazowiecki the best specialist of the Old Continent in the ice slag variety will be selected. Speedwayevents.pl, together with FIM-Europe and the Polish Motor Association, is already inviting you to the European Individual Ice Speedway Championship.

This event will take place for the second time in our country. Earlier, the Sanok track was fought for the title of the best in Europe. Twelve years ago, however, the competition was fought in an open facility, now for the first time in Poland will be in the hall. And which one!

The place of struggle will be the Ice Arena Tomaszów Mazowiecki. It is the first roofed facility in Poland that has an ice track and is adapted to organize the highest-level sports competitions. On a daily basis, it is primarily used for speed skating and short-track. Speedway riders will make their debut on local ice. The start time of the competition will soon be determined after consulting the television station that will broadcast the event.

- I am glad that Tomaszów Mazowiecki and Ice Arena will host another big sporting event and soon what we have long dreamed about will come true. Our beautiful facility will fulfill a multifunctional role and will serve - as the first hall in Poland - another discipline after speed skating - an extremely spectacular ice slag variety. I would like it to stay with us for longer - said Tomasz Wit Mazowiecki, President of Tomaszów Mazowiecki, on Wednesday's press conference.

- This event will certainly be a kind of experiment, because it will be held in our country for the first time in the hall. It is also proof that championship events do not have to take place only in large agglomerations, but also in other cities. For example, as well managed as Tomaszów Mazowiecki - admitted MEP Ryszard Czarnecki, honorary patron of the competition. - I hope it will be a great opportunity to experience sports emotions for fans of traditional speedway, because on March 21 the competitors of the most popular Polish non-Olympic discipline will not start the season yet - he added.

The event in Tomaszów Mazowiecki will be one day long and will be preceded by a Friday training session. On Saturday, fans will see 20 races in the main phase, after which the two competitors with the most points will reach the grand finale. The stakes will be completed by the best two from the play-off race, where the speedway riders will go, who will rank 3-6 after the main phase. The winner of the final race will become European champion. Russian champion Sergei Makarov defends the title.

A detailed cast will be announced in February, when individual federations submit their applications. The distribution of seats in the competition is as follows: ACCR (Czech Republic) - 2, AMF (Austria) - 2, DMSB (Germany) - 2, FMI (Italy) - 1, FMS (Switzerland) - 1, KNMV (Netherlands) - 2, MFR (Russia) - 2, PZM (Poland) - 1, SML (Finland) - 1, SVEMO (Sweden) - 2.

The new Ice Speedway Gladiators smartphone app is now available. you have to delete the old one as it won’t update itself.

Funnily enough I was doing some work for a PR/Media company in Bury called G2F and they designed it for the FIM. Talk about a small world!
