Teams to be posted later in the week - and the riders will be in the crowd after heat 10 collecting for the Speedway Riders' Benevolent fund. But there is still, until Wednesday at least, time to join the Bandits 5-1 Draw - £500 t0 the winner, £100 second prize - which will be drawn after heat 15, between the main match and the NJL clash of Berwick Academy and Ashfield Giants. 102 of the 120 numbers have already been bought for the draw which, when fully subscribed, will hand a £600 monthly boost to the S.T.A.R.S initiative which aims to help secure the future of speedway at Berwick. Berwick Bandits Supporters' Club is running the draw on the Bandits' behalf and anyone wanting to register for the first draw needs to have a direct debit or standing order set up no later than Wednesday (August 28). Messenger the Supporters’ Club via its Facebook page (which also contains a list of the available numbers), text Angela Wilson on 07572520363 or email club@berwickspeedway.com If any numbers remain unsold names will be collected at Saturday’s meeting – along with a “reserve list” – but they will not be “active” until the September draw.
