In a recent special edition of Mojo music magazine on Pink Floyd, a tour programme from 1974 is reprinted in which the four members of Floyd are depicted in separate alter ego cartoon strip adventures. Guitarist Dave Gilmore is Dave Derring, speedway rider who, in true 'boys own' style wins the crucial race at the last moment and wins back his girlfriend in the process. The Pink Floyd song title/speedway connection was the best I could come up with although I suppose I could have gone with Shine On You Crazy Newcastle Diamonds.
